Because what connector it has is probably last in my list of priorities (and probably it’s the same for the huge majority of people).
Just say it's last in your priority list and leave it there.

Why? I replied to someone saying “Why would anyone buy it”? I think it’s clear that almost no one cares about the connector. It’s totally okey to care (there are good reasons!) but I don’t understand how people can mix their desires with the obvious reality.Just say it's last in your priority list and leave it there.
Tech enthusiasts tend to generalize and think that general consumers' purchases are driven by the same niche little details theirs are. How many times have I heard someone with a straight face talk about how MacBook sales are gonna "tank" because of some SSD bandwidth difference or whatever. Outside this little echo chamber, most people don't notice or give a crap. It's the same with the lightning connector. Tempest in a teapot. Besides, lightning is being phased out as new products are released. Even a very minor revision to AirPods Pro got a USB-C port, as did the newest Apple TV remote. Why? For me, it's the impulse to just never, ever again have to futz with the pure garbage interface of any "smart TV". AT $129, it's a bargain to just put that in the past entirely. The AppleTV thing is strange. It's totally like, Apple's sleeper hit device. And people who buy them and have them on every TV in the home (like me, I have 5 or 6 of them) love them being updated to swap them out. I have no idea why. Some sort of musical chairs where you take the 2022 model, stick it in the bedroom, remove the 2017 one, gift it, get the 2024 for the bigger ones. Some bizarre addiction. ha.

Thank you! I'll look into that.Highly recommend battery service. It's $80 and super effective in getting your battery back to where it was when you bought them. In my case, they actually replaced the entire right earcup and the headband -- and I've read online several other people saying they were just handed a new (refurbished) pair.
I'd absolutely take a spec bump to the H2 (or H3?) chip just to bring feature parity to the AirPods Pros.Wait years for an update only for a spec bump. Either they’re that good and don’t need to be updated or welcome to Apple today.
Have yet to try the Max at the Apple Store but the latest APP2 firmware has degraded the noise cancellation quite a bit.I was waiting for the next gen, but my spouse just gifted me the blue Max for my birthday today (before our trip to Switzerland next week) Honestly, the lightning port is an afterthought after testing them out. They are phenomenal, and put my APP2 to shame.
My mum is not a tech person, not even in the slightest. In fact, she needs help with most things she does digitally, even the simplest of things at times. But she does dislike the Lightning connector on her iPad and is glad that her iPhone is USB-C.Tech enthusiasts tend to generalize and think that general consumers' purchases are driven by the same niche little details theirs are. Not gonna happen. Everyone and their grandma on this forum has already debunked the Apple 8K TV, so it's not gonna happen.Regards Apple TV. There was a rumour here today about 8k video POSSIBLE for iPhone 16 but more likely 17.
Surely that would delay the 8K Apple TV until then because you'd want to play the footage on it?
And new Apple productions in 8K to fill up content, etc.
The only clue I can see for 8k on iPhone 16P would be rumoured 2TB storage.
