Given the rumors that iphone 15 will have usb-c port, I wonder if they'll release them with usb-c or lightning.
Yeah but look at AirPods 2nd gen, they're still sold by Apple nearly a year after the 3rd gen came out…current APPs? They will be replaced or obsoleted I guess, Third party definitely sell them at a much lower price.
not a chance for wireless connection, at least not nowLossless audio?
Doesn’t seem likely. Apple has never released headphones that aren’t white.Hopefully product red and matte black are in the options. Can’t wait!
Lossless audio is already a thing. And if they use Bluetooth LE they can at least offer lossless cd quality 16 bitnot a chance for wireless connection, at least not now
16 bit means 1411kbps....impossibleLossless audio is already a thing. And if they use Bluetooth LE they can at least offer lossless cd quality 16 bit
yes, it is rumoured that the new codec to have this abilityI hope these new ones will have the a option to use spatial audio on Apple TV while using two AirPods Pro.
Right now spatial audio is disable when two AirPods are connected too Apple TV
Awhile back we were discussing all iPhone accessories going to USB-C, so why would Apple launch a AirPod Pro 2 if it’s still lightning before the iPhone goes that way also? Not that long from now to find out how this event reflects what Apple wants to market.Notably, alongside new iPhone and Apple Watch models, Gurman expects Apple to announce second-generation AirPods Pro at the event. Gurman did not indicate when the new AirPods Pro would become available to order or share any pricing information.
Battery life would be 5 minAren’t Bluetooth filetransfers a thing? The way things work now (highly simplified) the audio is downloaded/streamed to the iOS device, decoded, and then it’s sent over Bluetooth as “audio”
Why not send it over Bluetooth as a “file” which can then be buffered and decoded on AirPods themselves? Ie. The AirPods would actually be playing the music themselves and the iPhone just acts as a remote. Not decoded/playing on the iPhone and then beaming it to the AirPods.
Lossless would not be an issue then presumably
Since airpods pro will not be refreshed every year...yea i cannot understand why stick with lightningAwhile back we were discussing all iPhone accessories going to USB-C, so why would Apple launch a AirPod Pro 2 if it’s still lightning before the iPhone goes that way also? Not that long from now to find out how this event reflects what Apple wants to market.
Do you think it would be possible to have it activated using Apple TV 4K with one new AirPods Pro v2 and one normal AirPods non-pro? Or I will need two of the new AirPods Pro?yes, it is rumoured that the new codec to have this ability
I am up in the air to Bluetooth LE being that beneficial to anyone interested in audio quality enhancement over current bluetooth 5.0. Apple need to be supporting more codecs then Bluetooth AAC codec. The only reason to update these right now is if they're adding Bluetooth LE support.
It allows several slower bit rate speeds, but 2 faster bitrates are similar to SBCBuilding on 20 years of innovation, LE Audio enhances the performance of Bluetooth audio, adds support for hearing aids, and introduces AuracastTM broadcast audio, an innovative new Bluetooth use case with the potential to once again change the way we experience audio and connect with the world around us.
Yes being able to broadcast to more than a single bluetooth device sounds useful for some applications, is it that useful for most people is the question? I have no problems with it being worked into general support for audio accessibility justifications.LE Audio will also add broadcast audio, enabling an audio source device to broadcast one or more audio streams to an unlimited number of audio sink devices. Broadcast audio opens significant new opportunities for innovation, including the enablement of a new Bluetooth capability, Auracast™broadcast audio.
You should search a little more. Bluetooth LE can manage 16 bit and Qualcomm already offers lossless audio in its Bluetooth offerings1
16 bit means 1411kbps....impossible
I said lossless on wireleass buds, read again...everybody knows that lossless audio is already a thing..Lets not conflict lossless with spatial audio, completely different thing
So we have to wait for BT6 or something years from now for lossless on wireless headphones
They can absolutely release AirPods 2.1 with usb c.Since airpods pro will not be refreshed every year...yea i cannot understand why stick with lightning
On iphones side its normal since this product gets refreshed every single year
