Reduce the bezel on the 12 and you won't be able to hold it without touching the screen.Really hope the 12.9" does get reduced bezels and a slight weight reduction, especially if the 11" isn't going to get mini-LED. I'd love to move back to the larger form factor, but the current gen is a tad too heavy IMO.
Well, to be fair, before Apple Silicon the answer would have been that many mobile workflows, the iPad Pro was a far better option. But now, heck now I can run mobile apps or full Autocad effortlessly on a thin and light MacBook Pro. Things have changed.Who really uses iPad Pro's to their full extent? Like... what industry are you in? Why are you using an iPad and not a laptop?
Why would it? The notch was to fit FaceID, which the iPad already has. unless they deuce the bezels, but then holding it would be a pita. You know this is going to have a notch, right?
With WWDC showing iPad can now use multiple apps and resizing windows, I'm curious to know how it is still crippled software? What exactly do you still need that it doesn't do?
Except the iPad does different things than the Macbook air does.Well, to be fair, before Apple Silicon the answer would have been that many mobile workflows, the iPad Pro was a far better option. But now, heck now I can run mobile apps or full Autocad effortlessly on a thin and light MacBook Pro. Things have changed.
1, it’s not a mac, so it wont have Finder. It has Files - which is improving as time goes on.A proper Finder would be nice and the calculator app![]()
Run pro apps? You're welcome. With WWDC showing iPad can now use multiple apps and resizing windows, I'm curious to know how it is still crippled software? What exactly do you still need that it doesn't do?
Give Gurman some slack. The dude really tries, even if he is wrong… like….80% of what he says with his misguided mudslinging messy predictions. What we will do without Gurman telling us that after M1 iPad Pro, there will be M2 iPad Pro...the true Nostradamus!
Notch would probably show up if Apple moves the FaceID camera to top center in landscape orientation...?
To be fair, MagSafe is more of a convenience feature. As a casual user I would take a wireless but slower charging design so I don’t have to deal with charging cables. Additionally this would allow for more stands that can rotate allowing iPads to be used in landscape/portrait which would better support universal control. Rotating to portrait for reading documents then back to landscape for a tutorial video or similar.Just imagine how slow this thing will charge via MagSafe
Honestly. Reading this forum is akin to running round in circles, occasionally stopping to bang your head against a wall.Run pro apps? You're welcome.
Mass storage Device? Playing demanding games? Remote Controlling the PC/Mac? Editing office documents? Displaying autoCAD files? All without using a device with non-detachable keyboard?Who really uses iPad Pro's to their full extent? Like... what industry are you in? Why are you using an iPad and not a laptop?
Artists and illustrators will use it all and they don’t do their work on a patio because they want the direct manipulation + Apple Pencil.Who really uses iPad Pro's to their full extent? Like... what industry are you in? Why are you using an iPad and not a laptop?
Would that be about 25% slower than the regular 20w charger would need? Probably not that big of an impact in that scenario. Now if we compare it to a 30w charging scenario…Just imagine how slow this thing will charge via MagSafe
