In the last 15 minutes I've had to reconnect my iPad to wi-fi at least 5 times. I've been waiting and waiting and waiting (get the picture) for a fix but *** no Apple hasn't released one!

I really want the new iPhone and looked forward to getting up in the morning and waiting in line at the mall for the Apple store to open and get one per my reservation. I don't know if that is going to happen now.

I dont have that problem , mine just has a pop-up window that says "connecting" about 5 -8 times a day.

I think its PATHETIC that they have dragged their feet with a firmware update for the mighty , magical iPad.

They only acknowledged the problem 2 months ago

Exactly, and thats why expecting a fix for the iPhone to come within days is dreaming. They still havent resolved the iPad's wifi issues and its been over 2 months. Not good.

You did something terribly wrong. I attempted to pre-order at 1:00 AM Pacific time and had my order confirmation by 1:13 AM. Next time wake up earlier or order smarter, not longer. If you're trying to order and you haven't gotten through in hours that might be a clue to change your tactics, not keep trying the same old crap.

BTW no reception issues here, not a single one. The phone is perfect in almost every way.

Are you oblivious to the fact that their were confirmed issues with preordering, and their are many documented cases on this very forum of people trying all day to get through and never did. What tactics do you suggest I should have tried?

Oh, how I look forward to the inherent whining that is (many) MacRumors users. And, even better, I'm sure there will be many more forum noobs starting tomorrow too.

We can only hope there will be a good balance of positive threads as well.
