Hello,

1- CPU
what type of chipset used in the Mac Mini mid 2007 (Model MB139LL/A)?
is it the 945GM/E or 945PM?

I ask because I have a Mac Mini with 2.0 GHz
and I have a 2.5GHz CPU

is it possible to use it in this mac? I'm willing to try if none knows, but just check if it's not possible at all!

my CPU is: Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T9300 (6M Cache, 2.50 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Socket: PGA478
Spec Code: SLAQG

I know the Mac Mini goes with 667MHz system bus, and my CPU with 800MHz but still I would love to have it if possible :)

2- Disks

The Optical Drive does not work well, so I was thinking to change it to something better and I have 2 things in mind
first connect a second disk with the help of a Hard Drive caddy Adapter
second using the same updater to build an eSATA connector

any ideas/suggestions to share?

i know this works but your spec code does not match it sl9sd works SLAQG is your code

what do you mean you know it works? you mean the CPU with the Spec Code SL9SD will work and mine will not?

may I know why? do you have more info (technical)?
does the Spec Code "rule" apply on normal PCs as well?

and in general what make the CPUs different if the Spec Code is not the same?

Thanks allot :)
