Mac's have a lot of pro's over windows pcs
1) less viruses
2) faster boot up
3) can run BOTH os x and windows 7 (hell even I'm running this setup)
4) a lot of software that you DON'T have to pay out for where as with windows, to get the same features, you have to buy software.

I know it has been written a lot, but it seems not often enough:
As of today, there is NO/ZERO virus for Mac OS X in public circulation, and hasn't been since the introduction of Mac OS X. A couple of trojans and other malware does exist, but the user has to install that him or herself.

my definition of virsus there included the trojans/malware, was perhaps a little to broad, as usual lol.

I know there are next to none but I didn't feel appropriate to say "No/Zero" but sure as hell is 'less' than windows lol

Understandable. Just didn't want to lead misinformation spread, though most people don't discern between trojans, worms and viruses and other malware. They are all the same and can be called "virus", though on Mac OS X user interaction and permission is needed to even install any kind of malware, and a real virus does not need that. It just needs to be downloaded.
And it is still safe to say, that there are no viruses for Mac OS X. Maybe when the Mac OS X market share is bigger. Hmm.
