Indonesian President Using iPad
There something different things when President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) gave a speech about current issues in his office. SBY speech text is not written on paper or a teleprompter. This time, SBY seems to use a tablet PC that was popular, iPad.
Yudhoyonos speech was broadcast live by a number of national television from the office of President, Jalan Veteran, Jakarta. Several times, the index finger touching the screen looks SBY iPad is docked in front of him.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) began using the iPad after getting a unique gift during his visit to Toronto, Canada last July 2010. The gift were given by Richard Greene, author of Words That Shook The World Addendum: The 1st Decade of the 21st Century a book that contains one of his speeches during a visit to Harvard University, not in printed book but in a digital format that has been incorporated into the iPad, a popular computer tablet made by Apples.
So far, state officials who have been familiar with using the tablet PC services are Coordinating Minister Hatta Rajasa. Then spreads to other ministers. While iPad is still a new item, a number of ministers gathered fun to try it out while chatting lightly, while waiting for the cabinet meeting.
Before the speech this afternoon, Yudhoyono held a coordination meeting with several ministers. A number of issues lately happens to be a topic of SBY speech.
Ministers who attended, among others Coordinating Minister Hatta Rajasa, three ministries Joko Suyanto, National Police Chief General. Bambang Hendarso Danuri, Attorney General Hendarman Supandji. The ministers and ministerial-level officials visible notice of SBY speech.
