Jesus... Im just sayin... Barrel-rolling into a sword slash taking out 3 Spartans within 4 seconds really brings back fond memories of when i didn't suck at this game, haha! Cant wait for Reach tho! Fall... So long away =P

I'm really enjoying the Beta. Best multiplayer experience of any Halo game so far. I'm one of those guys that complained about how much Halo 3 online sucked compared to Halo 2 (played it online since launch), but this blew me away.

The balance is really what comes down to making it awesome. I was afraid they were gonna overpower the magnum like it was in Halo (also feared Jet Pack would be OP), but they really hit the spot.

Invasion Slayer is very unbalanced in the Elites' favor, and I think Round 3 in Invasion could be easier for the elites (for example, by giving them more time if they won Round 1 & 2 faster). Other than that, I have no complaints - only praise.

I'll definitely be buying it on the release day, gonna go through the campaign on Heroic with my brother - and then go whack some on Xbox Live! :D

My gamertag is Sandoar (if I have a negative KD spread in a game - it was my brother :p)

That's what he said HAHAHAHAHAHA

It's getting close to release (Sept). I assume this will be another coop title. I'm hoping the solo story will stand up to what came before it, except I could take or leave ODST for offline coop. I would be comparing it to H3.

Reach will have local split-screen co-op throughout all modes (Campaign, Firefight, Matchmaking). The story is looking like it will be, possibly, the best of the series. If you know the story of the planet Reach, and everything that went on there, you can understand why. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who might not know any of that backstory, but lets just say this should be a seriously EPIC end to Bungie's Halo games.

Newegg has the game for 44.99 pre orders right now I'm going to preorder though from Amazon I think hopefully they match Neweggs price I do have $20 for pre ordering Madden so either way ill make out at a better price.

must have been a sale last week but still will probally get it via Amazon ill wind up paying 39.99 for it :)

I always thought the game credit was towards future purchases, thus the reason they add it to your amazon account a few days after the game is shipped. My game credits always showed up about a week later.

Pre-order Halo Reach and get $20 off a future video game purchase. The promotional code will be placed directly into your Amazon.com account within 2 business days after the product ships. Additionally, you'll receive access to an exclusive in-game Spartan Recon helmet variant. The code to access the helmet will be included in pack when your game ships.

So you always end up paying full price for the first game, and Amazon gets you towards buying a second game.

This is correct. You don't get the credit from Amazon until a day or so after the order is already placed.

Though, if you buy all your games from them, as I do, it works well. That is one of the benefits of Amazon Prime. Along with all the savings on shipping, you get free launch day shipping on pretty much every big game. So, when games launch, I don't have to even leave the house, and I'll get it the same day as everyone else. Add in all the credits they give out, and Amazon is a pretty great place to get games.

I ordered the Legendary version of Reach, and the new Reach console. I had $20 from an earlier game purchase, but when you add in the lack of sales tax, I'm getting both delivered on launch day for only $530 total. That is $62 less than if I bought in store, and I'm getting them same day. I'm going to then use the $20 credit from Reach to get the Collector's Edition of Fallout New Vegas for the price of the regular version...

I really LOVE Amazon Prime :D

Is he related to Optimus Prime? ;) Ok lame I know. I will say, I love half.com for my physical media based purchases. Halo 3 for $5....Dirt 2 NIB today for $30 shipped....Bayonetta for $25, PGR4 for $3 etc etc...Finally both PS3 and 360 libraries are now big enough with AAA games that I no longer feel the need to purchase new titles before I finish a game.

Yes it is for a future game, but since I often by my games at Amazon, then the end result is I saved $20. I just mentally applied it to this game. ;)
