I have not discovered a solution yet for a HomePod handoff problem I am experiencing on my iPhone 8+. It just does not work, at all. Everything else seems to work. The handoff on my wife's iPhone 6s works just fine. Everything is using 14.3. I have tried nearly everything including erasing all content and restoring the phone from a backup. My next step will be to re-erase everything and set up the phone from scratch. I did three times more work because I wanted to avoid that.
I cleared everything and set everything up from scratch. Homepod handoff worked! But after reactivating my Airpod pros and using it once, it stopped working. This was strange since I also removed and deactivated my AirPod pros as a test before clearing everything. As it is now, if I have Bluetooth connected to the AirPod Pros, HomePod handoff does not work, even if iPhone is selected as the output device. If I disconnect the AirPod Pros from bluetooth, HomePod handoff does work.

I have several apple devices that I play music from.
Hand off seemed to work fine with a single homepod in the house.
stopped working when three other homepods were installed.
This also happened about the time the tail end of ios 13 were released.

Hi all, I've searched previously threads, but not seeing a resolution. I've spent an hour on the phone with Apple Support, and they needed to transfer me to a senior tech, but there was another 45 minute wait.

Just got the HomePod Mini's and paired with my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Handoff works fine for me on each HomePod Mini. However, handoff doesn't work for my wife (who also has a 11 Pro Max). Software is updated to 14.2 on all HomePod Mini's and both of our iPhones. Bluetooth is on, Handoff is on under AirPlay & Handoff, we are on the same WiFi network.

Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

Hello.

I had this same issue, too. But I found the solution. It's by disabling the airplane mode. Because when you turn on airplane mode, it seems like it blocks some function of the chip, not sure if it's a bug or is its design... So, Make sure you have 1) bluetooth on, 2) same wifi, 3)turn off airplane mode. Hope it can solve your problem.

It doesn’t matter if the bluetooth is one or with the same wifi spot. Hope it can solve your problem.
