It’s called a car charger.

Really? Where do I buy a car charger that fixes a broken phone? How does the car charger get back a lost/stolen phone? For people without cars, where do they plug in their car chargers?

Expecting your phone do be your only access to money is far beyond idiotic. If you're not within walking distance of home, carry a card.

Why wouldn't you turn your iPhone around the other way? With the wallet toward your body? I still won't be getting this but just wondering.
I know for me and most people I know they put their phone screen side toward leg when in pocket to avoid damage if it hits against something. It has become mussel memory for me. And I know I would lose this wallet in a day lol.

I’ve never put my phone in my pocket this way and I’ve had every iPhone since the original. I’ve also never busted a screen while in my pocket. Funny how people do things differently.

The whole iphone release this year is a fail imo
o the 12 pro isnt that impressive
o the sizes are stupid (i didnt want to go smaller and I didnt want to go bigger).
o the camera in low light still sucks (it really does)
o the video camera stutters because that night mode garbage is on by default
o the magsafe is stupid because the magnets arent strong enough
o no leather case on release day (i mean REALLY??)
o the scrolling in some apps on ios14 still stutters (its like fix this... is this android or iphone)
o paying $62 for magsafe plus adapter is BAT S%#T CRAZY
and on and on....

Too bad all the reviewers only want to kiss Apples butt and not do honest reviews.
You seem mad.

You might not have broken that screen if it had been faced inward toward your leg. Just saying.

The next event will release a special Apple tag for your leather Apple wallet so you can spend £160 to hold and then find your three cards that would have been safer in your £20 wallet that you kept your cards in before you bought these must have accessories. Marketing genius Same guy suggested a tag for your phone so you can find it anywhere in the world by simply logging into your phone

Magsafe wallet should be joined with Apple puck mouse, ,Newton, G4 cube....as failed product...
More like ipod socks or iPod hi-fi. Not exactly something that generations of design students will study as massive failures.

This will NEVER happen because it would mean handing a cop your phone if you get pulled over, and you would have to be insane to do that.
FYI...that WILL never happen...because the police officer never touches your phone.

In states where an electronic i.d. on your phone is allowed, it is because the officer carries a scanner to scan the code on your phone instead of swiping the physical i.d. back in their car. Even if they wanted to hold your phone or asked to...and you agreed...the i.d. can be accessed from the lock screen without giving any access to the rest of the phone without your consent.

But yeah...I would NEVER allow someone else hold my phone. More for fear of them dropping it or damaging it...hah.

Looks like you answered your own question. No one would force you to stop using your wallet if you so wish, but don’t expect me or tons of others to feel the exact same way as you.

I do the same thing - screen pointed towards my thigh. but when I put my phone in my pocket I'm grasping the back of it with my palm so the wallet stays attached - and I remove it the same way so there is no chance of it coming off. I think the only issue would be if you're wearing skinny jeans and can't get your whole hand inside the pocket. So far I've had zero issues with the wallet detaching unintentionally

I do the same, but unlike the video, I also put my phone in upside down so I can better hear the speakers...and it also seems more natural for me to do it that way based on the way I am holding it.

I don’t use a wallet on the back of it though. Cards seem pretty tight in there, so not sure how worried I would be about THOSE falling out as I put in my pocket upside down over and over again.

Well, the rest of the world is a bit different from the US. You usually have a personal ID card that you should carry with you everywhere just like a foreigner is obligated to have his passport at hand (many countries could impose fines if you dont wear one with you in public and police stops you). The driver's license is usually not a sustitute to the personal ID card so if you have a car, you need to carry both of these cards.
I’m not American.

“The world” is bigger than just the countries that you know. Not every country outside the US requires people to have a “Personal ID” card with them all the time.

Yeeeeeaaaaah... no. Thanks for the advice (command ?)
Wallet free for years and very, very happy about it.
All those scenarios you mention...
I’ve lost far more bank cards, than I’ve broken phones.
I’ve spent many days without spending cash.
To me, planning your life around a 0.5% chance of encountering a dire need for cash while simultaneously having a broken phone worst case scenario is far beyond idiotic.

HUGE bummer review! This was literally the only reason I was going from the 11 to 12, so it looks like my pre-order for the max is about to get cancelled. Thanks fo the video, Ill stick with my 3M taped stretchy case and skip Qi until they have a better solution.

Here;s a question.

This guy (you may know who he is!) who was always wearing jeans.

What do you think this guy would have thought during the design and testing stage when he tried using this product, before release, to be sure it was up to his incredibly high standards to be sold to the public?

Excellent question! Well, he would obviously test it, the wallet would fall off during the tests. and he would reject it instantly as the most ridiculous idea ever and a disgrace to Apple. He would probably also fired the person who came up with it as not suited for Apple creative process.

But... unfortunately he's not around anymore.... :(

- you should try the Pro Max (you really should). It's 47% larger sensor delivers low light performance to kill for. Possibly best in class, and ProRaw is still in beta. If low light photography was important to you, your choice was uninformed. Do your research next time before buying.

Isn't ProRaw out now in the new iOS?

I think in the beta only?
Came out this past Monday in 14.3, I'm liking it.

My ancient iMac running 10.12.6 Sierra is having some issues transferring the super large 25-35+mb individual photo sizes to from Phone to iMac using "Image Capture" app or Photos app. But sending photos 2, 3 at a time via Gmail is ok...it will just get stored in the Google Drive. Slight hassle, but manageable for now.
