Cool story. So one professional in the audio community says a positive note about Solo2, and you discount the other professionals in the audio community. You also didn’t read Tyl’s assessment thoroughly and seemed to have selectively decided to remember certain words from his review.

Please continue to preach about this. It’s amazing how much people can learn from other people such as yourself with selective comprehension.

It’s actually repeated throughout every review done on them since the Solo 2. You can do research for yourself across Head-Fi, but you won’t.

So, please - Believe people who have never used them and are basing their theories on their current sound from when Monster owned them a decade ago. Sounds like bulletproof logic.

Oh, and I did read it thoroughly. Wall of Fame. Better than each other entry on the wall of fame for the category it’s in.

Fin.

Actually some Monster sounds are respected by the Head-fi community, such as the Turbine Gold/Copper IEM series.

I don't need to do Head-Fi research to know these are not good midrange sounding headphones because I've tried them and currently even own the Solo 3. They are adequate for general wireless purpose, but you don't buy Solos for the midrange. You buy them for the v-shape, which people typically describe as punchy, excited, and fun.

And also don't even bother talking about Solo2s at CanJam.

Cheers

Thanks for demonstrating you don't know what you're talking about.

The Solo3 and 2 are the same headphone, same speaker, same driver.

Which translates to... same sound. Nice try pretending though.

And they have fantastic midrange. Open and balanced. High frequency detail. Free of audible distortion.

I'm actually looking to buy some wireless, noise-cancelling headphones right now but with these being on-ear headphones, they're probably going to be as uncomfortable as the Studio 3s were. Count me out.
It's Bose, but the QC3 are apparently very good. I believe Audio Technica carries a line of bluetooth but it's more expensive than the Bose.

Not pretending. I didn’t buy the Solo3 for the sound. It’s a decent wireless headphone, but I passed it off to my household to use.

Still I suggest, as an avid Head-Fi, don’t bother coming to audio meetups and talking about how great your Solo2, if you even own them, midrange details are. Those people are probably not the Beats Solo target audience considering there are a lot of better options out there for the price if one was considering wired.

yes. Because they’re too proud to admit they’re wrong and have been wrong for more than 5 years. Like you are. They find it difficult to accept that all their details and researches and FRs and tons of money given over the years... are all crushed in the 1st attempt by Apple. So they’ll plug their ears and pretend.

What's NOT expensive garbage are the Bose wireless noise-canceling headphones. If you are ever on a plane or train and truly want ALL external sound blocked so you can sleep or listen to what YOU wish, Bose can't be Beaten.

Except, truthfully, by Sony. It’s great that we have these two companies pushing each other, making this stuff even better.

I have the Beats Solo 2's. I have had them for about 3 years and I think they are great headphones. I did not pay anywhere near full retail for them and I didn't expect for them to last as long as they have. I think these look like a worth while replacement in the future. I am also not a fan of the design of the Air Pods.

Reviews of these are very good. Good sound quality, good ANC for over the ear headphones. The price is a little too steep, though.
