I wouldn't be so quick to jump on the bandwagon. Samsung OLED on their phones are way too contrasty. Also, it's kind of interesting that OLED is billed as more energy efficient but samsung doens't really beat apple in the battery life game.

I like OLED for deeper blacks, hope they fix the contrast problem. They already fixed the screen life problem.
What do you mean "too contrasty"? OLED Displays are capable of delivering infinite contast when the picture calls for it. It does not mean that they can't render low contrast images. They can. Sure, those who are used to LCD's low contrast (because of their limitations) picture may get shocked by the quality of OLED screen but that's not a good reason to dislike OLED screens.

Other than the prehistoric looking size of the side bezels, it really is a beautiful phone.
The iphone 5 design is up there with the iphone 4 as the best looking electronics ever.

I would have been nice to see the iphone 5 design updated to meet the tech standards of 2016, mainly the size of the bezels. In comparison, the Galaxy edge S7 has a stunning looking display. I guess, we'll have to wait for Apple's flagship iphone later in the fall to do a fair comparison with the Samsung phone.

too contrasty as in not accurate color.

Remember when they made fun of Microsoft Windows and other hardware because they had so many confusing models? Now Apple is going in that direction

Fundamentally, there are five iPads currently being sold new from Apple: two iPad minis, 2 10 inch iPads, and one 12 inch iPad. five models. Yes, you can pick capacity, wireless options, and color for each model, but it's five basic models. I don't think that's all that bad.

people forget how many different ipod models there were back in the day.

It will be an issue for many customers when they try to use it the way apple is misleadingly advertising it multiple times in their videos...

They aren't using any special version there. You can actually do that. A very little camera protruding for 1 mm doesn't make the tablet to rumble on a flat surface.

The contrast problem? A higher contrast ratio is a good thing..

Reflections on ipad's screen in the video looks just horroble.
How many times Apple must reduce the glare to 1% of previous version to get even close to matte display?

Why use "better", it is demonstrably better, no need to abuse scare quotes.
Well, it might be better in terms of taking good fotos and videos (imo a less important feature for an iPad, even a "pro"), but there's also the design and form factor. A camera, that is exposed to extreme pressure and scratches when laying flat on a table like it is advertised many times in apples videos, isn't a "better" camera to me. So yes, scare quotes.

Tim, is that you?

As much as it sounds like I'm an Apple employee, I'm just the person in my family that everyone comes to when their tech doesn't work right. Tired of hearing them complain that something doesn't work right on their phone/computer when there is less than 1 megabyte of free space (this literally happens) and they went cheap and got the bare-bones lowest storage option... and then proceed to store years worth of texts, photos, documents, emails, etc. After a while it gets old.

iPhone, Android, MacBook, Windows laptop, whatever it is, always go at least one tick up from the minimum storage option. Odds are you have more space requirements than you realize.
