The Magic Keyboard does have a charge port on it; down at the hinge. Doesn't work with USB-C accessories, though (charge only). Unless you mean something else...?
I'd like a stand just like the one @nicho linked, but with pass-thru magnetic charging and actual full USB4 capability on the base port.

No keyboard, no trackpad, no cover, just the stand, and for a whole lot less than $400.

That said, I love the Magic Keyboard too, but the footprint of it is obviously much larger. I'd like something cleaner.

Yes, there are people who place a premium value on quality and design and willing to pay for it. My only concern with this Kensington option is how well will it accommodate future iPads.

Here's a link to the everyday man's/woman's alternative... $70 on Amazon

Wish I’d seen that thing when I bought my hub and stand recently. The only thing that’s missing for me is an Ethernet port but hell... it’s still workable. Wish there were more options like these out there and at a reasonable price like that.

I for one am glad Kensington released this, at this price point - because it made me think "I want this" followed by... "no, I want something like this at a way more acceptable price".

And I found it... $30 for a magnetic stand that works beautifully.
$0 to continue using my USB-C dock solution, with a single cable to plug into my iPad handling power, ethernet and any USB peripherals I fancy.

What's that thing called?
Nevermind, asked and answered two pages before.

Price per se is not that bad but there is a short sighed design flaw in that it's available in sizes.
The top part should either be designed to fit any size or at least be swappable.

I spent about €250 buying a USB/HDMI dongle, a 61w power brick and a dual wireless charger in 3 separate devices. I don't have a stand yet, but even a quite basic stand would be another €50.

An extra €100 or so to have it all in one (good looking) device would have been a very reasonable deal.
Especially if I knew it would be able to use it for a few years.

But since the top part is made to only fit one design of iPad,
this might end up being be a €400 paperweight way too soon.

Hopefully there will be a gen 2 to fix this.

It's crazy how my last post became reality in just about a month.
Hopefully they can make a quick redesign of the top and still re-use all the bases they've made.
