I'm not sure how Stage Manager adds much to what can already be done with the existing dock. The new system settings looks like something designed for a mobile phone -- or, worse, looks similar to a Window registry. I guess I am not that impressed by it or maybe I just don't get it yet. 🤔 🤔

Psst... Intel Macs were added in Mac OS X 10.4.5. Thats a point feature upgrade.
Comparing current 6-12 month cycles to the old 18-24 month cycle isn't fair.

Also MacOS X 10.0 supported Intel (a flexible architecture is one reason they abandoned Classic MacOS), so I don't understand your hold-up about point vs major upgrades.

Use spotlight, or get one for the App Store. Well reading posts, I searched for the app, and bang, there it is, I never knew that. Used Spotlight

Dang, it is pretty cool. Has a simple, scientific and programmer view. Copyright says since 2000, err, sheepishly admit I never knew it was there
It has a pretty handy 'convert' function too which can convert just about any measurements and up to date currency

I think some of these look features look pretty good.
It's a very mature system and so they are unlikely to do anything earth shattering.
In the days when they needed to find their way, then of course there would be big things but now changes are going to be minor.
There will be loads of things going on in the background, there alway are
Even more so with the phone. Revolutionising the telephone was a really big thing, but what would be the point of revolutionising it again every year?

I would like to see a much better print driver however.

I wonder how Stage Manager compares with the useful, but far from perfect Spaces? I like the ability to either set up dedicated desktops for full screen apps or a combination of related apps that together fill my screen.

macOS Ventura is quite good, imho all macOS are great when they released, most users don't appreciate enough all the work, integration, free new features we receive. Live text was a game changer for example for me.

There is a calculator on Mac OS.
It is the iPad that is missing an Apple Calculator app. IPad users should just get PCalc Lite.

In this day and age, I thing a proper calculator with tabs to toggle back and forth from conversion, scientific and business. My goodness, my 10 plus year old phone has the capability as a built in app.....

A clock app on the Mac for the first time? Not if you've been with the Mac long enough.
It's returning for the first time since 1994. Longtime users will remember the Alarm Clock DA--an early version of the clock app!!
It was removed in System 7.5. Glad to see this feature finally coming back.
Wow, only took them 28 years to figure out how to add clock app back to macOS. Maybe another 28 years Apple will finally add calculator app to iPadOS.

Seriously ??
1 whole year to add stage manager, continuity Camera and Apple mail upgrades?

These could have all been added to Monterey as point feature upgrades.

A whole year to complete this? I'm glad Intel Macs are included . SOME?

Continuity Camera already existed thru a third party APP. APPLE just copied it.

Stage Manager could have been a 3rd party app too

It's really scary to see what features if any come to next years APPLE SILICON ONLY MacOS.

I doubt much from all the brainwork that went into Ventura.

And I don't think APPLE ARM is going to get much past 3nm.
COVID maybe?
