If I was at a casino I would put my money on yes

Totally agree. Not going to buy one but I feel it will be a moderate success.

I wish it was useful standalone and not have to be tied to an iPhone
as I would almost certainly get one. Have little use for a cell phone so
no AW for me!

"Absolutely amazing", "Insiprational experience"

I'm sorry, are you sure this isn't Ive you guys interviewed?

Does apple have another huge hit on their hands?

The first time I saw (in the media) the iPhone, I wanted one and got one. . The first time I saw the iPad (in the media) , I wanted one but I bought the iPad 2. The first time I saw the apple watch ...and the second time...and the third time...I haven't a clue why I need one. It is the first new apple product that I just don't "get".

I don't wear a watch or bracelet today so something really really compelling will need to sway me to this expensive ...even at $350, device.

It can play music to your bluetooth headphones without the phone. Also, it can record your fitness activities and sync to your phone once you're near it. Possibly, not enough standalone features for you to buy it though.

I've read tons of stuff saying that the apple watch won't succeed or it won't be useful or the battery life is too short. I'm still waiting for the report from someone who had the the actual watch in their hands and says they didn't like it.

When it ships you'll hear how easy it is to scratch, drown, crush under foot. And how easy the digital crown can be pried off with a butter knife. They're out there and waiting anxiously for the clicks.

Just because Siri doesn't work for YOU sir....

8.3 beta has my native language, it is very nit picky with grammar. I almost lost my voice trying to send a test sms to a friend for one hour. Until i found the problem:

Send text message to <friends name> (5% success rate)
Send a text message to <friends name> (95% success rate)

Dont forget about the bending process

You won't see any of those until it's actually for sale. Anyone that has an Apple Watch now would never say anything bad about it for fear of being denied early access to pre-release Apple products in the future.

Was just waiting for one of these comments to show up. :)

Before handsfree, talking to yourself was something only the crazy did.

Now we'll have people talking into their wrists. Soon we're going to be all Dick Tracy and have Watch Facetime at 10 fps.

Crazy? I was crazy once. They put me in a room, a rubber room. The room had rats, rubber rats. Rubber rats drive me crazy. Crazy? I was crazy once...

I wonder why Apple would only allow them to use the sport watch? Why not the SS?

Probably because there's no functional difference (other than the case, which is irrelevant for software development) between them.

I cut out both sizes ( traced Fromm Apple's site ). The 42 is not too large.

OT: Anyone else getting the obnoxious scrolling Metro PCS ad on Mobile Safari?. I'm on an iPhone6

What language, if you don't mind me asking? Is it one like French where the official language requires articles (e.g.: "monsieur le President") whereas "street" lexicon does not?

If you were a developer whose livelihood depended on Apple and Apple allowed you to see and test pre-release hardware, that is a total turd, would you publicly criticize it before release?

$349 isnt very expensive relative to apple devices. the original 64gb ipod was $399 in 2001 dollars and only did one thing -- play music.

I'm interested in seeing how Apple further integrates the Watch with the iPad and MAc. For example, you can pair your Watch with your macbook and use Siri to complete certain tasks without having to use the keyboard

For the prices suggested I'd rather buy (If I were rich) Rolex!

not me. a rolex wont help me w/ my activity tracking nor give me sedentary tap alerts, nor allow me to play music on a jog w/ no phone, nor allow me to pay for a tasty beverage after said jog.
