The price is already out. $300/350?

I too am tempted by the new trackpad keyboard, but want to see reviews about how sturdy the hinge is first. I am also concerned about what would happen to my existing Smart Keyboard. It’s not going to fetch much online due to its scuffed condition and I see no reason to continue using it.

Couldn’t you find a use case for it? I’m actually using the old Smart Keyboard abs actually works quite well just covers the camera bump

How is the FaceID on the iPad? Would someone who finds it a giant step backwards on the iPhone (enough so that it's a dealbreaker for future phone purchases) be okay with it?

I've been wanting a Pro model for some time, but I fear they'll never implement a version of TouchID again. And I wonder if the fact that one picks up a tablet fewer times per day than a phone would make a difference in tolerance.

Agreed. That's a valid point as the cost of production for the device is dropping.

I like most of your comment, I don't quite understand your last sentence.

Probably because I used "pick up" in the less literal sense. I meant "use."

So if I unlock my phone 20+ times per day vs unlock a tablet ~5 times per day, then an annoying unlock experience would be more tolerable/less frustrating because it would annoy less often

Just waiting for the late 2020 of early 2021 iPad Pro, my guess from the rumors is that it will feature a 12 inch display. The perfect size between the current 11 and 12.9 inch iPad Pro.
A new screen with new mini led display tech, 5g, 12 inch, a14x soc and perhaps even 8gb of ram?., smaller bezels? The iPad x pro?
Can’ t wait, especially about the size. Love the 12.9 inch but that just isn’ t portable enough for me . 12 inch seems the sweet spot.
And later in 2021 apple will probably offer a 13.3-14 inch version.

I agree that the newer LED version coming out in the future will be cooler than the one I will receive today. Then again, I haven't used an iPad since the Crustaceous Period. I already have a little bit of buyers remorse. 😣
