WTF kind of arrogant BS is that? Every point he made was valid. Maybe YOU should think before posting. o_O

BS it's not work. You're TESTING their product and telling them what's wrong with it. How is that NOT work? Worse yet, I've submitted a ton of testing and bug reports. They IGNORE most of them. It's not only work (for free as he said); it's a waste of time. Some people on these forums need to drink less Kool-Aid and wake up to reality. This thing is a joke. Get a FireTV if you need to install 3rd party software like Kodi or get a Roku if you don't. AppleTV is a joke at this point. It costs twice as much as its competition and they support 4K and more useful Apps (like an Amazon viewer).

Wow you going to push 4K streaming in the USA with the rise if bandwidth limits! Talk on fanboy! ;)

Developers can't think ever situation his/her application is going to be used. They can't fix/ know the problems unless people notify them! That is just common sense!

What limits? I don't come near my 300GB a month limit and my 32Mbps connection is more than fast enough. Even so I don't have 4k at the moment so calling me a fanboy is silly. That doesn't mean I want to buy something that is obsolete on day one. They would have to get some seriously awesome apps to convince me to spend $150-200 on something that a $39-100 box can do (with the $100 one doing 4k to boot).

WTF does that have to do with what I said? I didn't say beta-testing wasn't needed. I said it's WORK. Large companies pay employees to do bug testing and play testing, etc. Even when it's public testing, you figure you're getting something out of it (try it out before it's released or getting to use it for free or whatever). The idea we should pay for products while companies should get us to do their work for them for nothing is ridiculous.

All I'm seeing there is higher caps than I have at 300GB a month and I've never once hit my cap. I'd have to stream like 24-30 4K movies (or equivalent whatever) a month to approach that cap. In short, having a 4K Netflix option shouldn't be an issue for people with decent bandwidth (I get 32Mbps for $45 a month plus triple package discounts and I know places nearby get better deals with other systems).

I am really happy with mine so far, especially being able to stream audio to my bluetooth headset, and having an HBO Nordics app (since I am in Sweden), so that I am not always air playing things across. Both of these are a big step forward for me. I think the app store is going to be a big a deal on the apple TV as it was with the iPhone, lovely potential.

So my gripes don't make me regret my purchase, but they do detract from the overall experience.

I am another person frustrated by Siri's universal search, and I hope that this will improve in time. I was playing around with it, asking it to find me things that I know are available in my Netflix or HBO Nordics subscriptions. Of the ten or so shows I tried it picked up just one for Netflix and none for HBO Nordics (so maybe that isn't supported yet, fingers crossed the release of the API will solve that). In all cases it just suggested I buy the content from iTunes, but I know it is there already in my subscription services.

This is an issue for me for a couple of reasons:
  • It is much faster to search through siri, particularly when the remote app on my phone doesn't work, and when you can't use siri/voice functionality to perform the search from within the search window of netflix - essentially I find myself scrolling through the alphabet a lot and that dents my experience.
  • I don't tryst universal search to find me the content which is within my subscriptions, which I don't know about. I find myself suspicious that it is trying to get me to buy more from iTunes, when I already have the legal right to watch this content through my paid for subscriptions.
Siri can't tell me what the weather forecast is because she doesn't know my location, although I am not sure why.

Siri didn't seem able to tell me any sport scores, maybe I am using the wrong commands... then again siri has never been able to understand the name of the team I cheer for on any device. The team in Hull City, which she always interprets as Whole City, and then gets confused about.

Anyone else having similar issues with Siri? Is it a lack of support in Europe thing? Do we think it might improve in time?

EDIT: Actually, you know what, today she is doing a lot better than yesterday - she knows where I am and could find more stuff on Netflix, but it seems to be the stuff which is available on US netflix, which is fine when their content matches up here in Sweden, but less useful when it doesn't... for example all three Hobbit movies are apparently available in the US, but here I can only get the second one. Obviously on the one hand it would be nice if Netflix here was more complete, but as it isn't it would be nice if Siri knew which Netflix titles are available here.

The weather works today too... so I guess this is just one of those things about siri being better sometimes than others.

Still nothing from the HBO Nordics app, and still can't understand Hull City... apparently if I supported Tottenham it would be a non-issue, but that isn't really going to happen.

Sports results working for you yet? I'm in Denmark and Siri won't show me any sports results what so ever. :/

If I get Showtime via Hulu Add On and I use SIRI to search for a movie (that is on Showtime) will it show up as being on Hulu or Showtime or neither? I guess the same for a Series like HomeLand. The reason I ask is I use Hulu a lot and I like the watchlist and was hoping shows like HomeLand would show up in my watch list (my second question). My point is Showtime Content treated the same as any other content within Hulu.

Does the "what did he/she say?"n feature work on Netflix and Hulu with the latest update and for searching movies does the search include Netflix Hulu? Has the search been opened yet so something in m y pled library or across a friends linked plea library will be returned?

I sorta want one of these having owned the first two but finding them useless I'd like to know that advanced features work with more than just content bought from Apple.

Can I play a song from Spotify yet with Siri on Apple TV etc?

Anyone know of a page breaking down what is possible with the current software release on the new Apple TV with apps?

Also for those who own what are your impressions if you already own something like an Xbox one, roku, or even at this point TiVo (which now streams from most of the big guys - and even some smaller ones)

I have so many streaming devices - the what did he say would be VERY useful as my partner likes to constantly talk - I mostly use apps available on the big ones.. However things like the syfy network have been restricted to the Xbox one. Which also has relatively good voice control, with the Kinect - but as far as I know no universal search.. Which TiVo Romio plus has and I live by - setting up a season pass which puts all streaming and recorded video in one place...

So the Apple TV really only works for me if these advanced features are across the board at this point - then I can see myself switching..

Also - I've been trying to find a list of the great Apple TV apps but mostly returning the ones you'd expect - meaning nothing particularly unique is showing up... Is this a failure on behalf of bloggers or are there really no unique apps..

And has anyone been able to screencast from Windows?

A thanks for making it this far and any input!!
