Same here. The aluminum doesn’t deliver for me in terms of aesthetics and ultimately I feel it’s too light on the wrist. The stainless, Abeit, it is very expensive, it does deliver feeling more substantial from the added weight and the Sapphire display.
Lol, too light on the wrist? Of course, you lift weights!

I can’t imagine how insubstantial the aluminum version must feel to you.
The older steel watches did feel a bit heavy on my wrist, seeming to focus the weight on one pressure point on my wrist. Even my LTE series 4 aluminum Nike felt a bit heavier than my 2 and was a bit uncomfortable as I started getting carpal tunnel flare ups again (not caused by the watch).
But they’ve redistributed the weight better on the series 4 so I’m back to enjoying stainless again.
However I do miss the Nike faces. Fortunately after owning a series 2 and 3 Nike watch I still have their bands that I enjoy. And I still have my series 2 watch itself. It’s black, so I think for me it nails the aesthetics.
I admit I didn’t like my silver Series 3 Nike as much as I thought I would. It was neither white enough to contrast with my bands as much as I had hoped it would nor silver enough to have the same ability to look good with everything that stainless has. So that one got traded in.
I went with the gold stainless, which does look good, but only with certain bands. Still, I’m happy with it, because it looks nice with most other things I own.
