Hands-On With tvOS 14: Picture in Picture, 4K YouTube, HomeKit and More

I might have missed it, but does PiP work with a all content, or does the PiP feed have to be from a different app? Can you watch two videos playing from the same aTV app?
 
Is there a way to disable PIP? The UI/UX drives me crazy when I just want to skip back/forward 10 sec, and then have to wait for that button to disappear (or worse, accidentally click it, and then fall down a rabbit hole... )
 
Just fix the bugs in the Apple TV library and get rid of all the spam and ads in the app. That’s all I care about.

Supports 24fps just fine and auto switches the rate. 60fps you’d probably need new hardware for. But that also looks like garbage for anything but sports, so meh.
 
Anyone else having an issue with the iPhone remote app in YouTube on tvOS14? I can select and menu back but can’t swipe to navigate. I would use my AppleTV remote but it’s been lost for a month ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
 
I cant enable audio sharing on 2 pairs of Airpods on my AppleTV non 4k. It says cant connect 2 bluetooth devices together. Ia there a way to enable Audio Sharing?

I've tried that also. For me the problem still persists even after restarting. Oddly enough, I discovered later that the remote control app in the Control Center works for swiping but trying to select anything is nearly impossible. 90% of the time it misinterprets your 'tap to select' as a swipe. It's very frustrating. I've started switching back and forth between the stand alone app and control center remote to navigate YouTube. I've submitted a bug report already.

I can view the camera in my Ring Doorbell on the Home widget on tvOS 14. I can't control Nest directly, as the Home widget seems to be Scene-based, not device.

what am I doing wrong as the HomeKit widget doesn’t even show up for me?

Home should show up on the drawer that slides open when you hold the remote button with the screen on it (upper right). You should also check that the ATV is logged into the same account you use for your HomeKit setup.

Yeah i‘be looked there and checked the account (and even logged out and back in again). Nest cam shows on Home on iPadOS but not showing on tvOS despite being on the beta
