Sorry, further investigation reveals this open source project (gfxCardStatus) has not seen an update in a long enough time that it is problematic with recent systems.

It would be good if a mod could please delete this thread. I apologize for the mistake.

I wonder if this applies to a 2011 MBP? I always assume my dedicated graphics are in use, which appears evident when I play a demanding game and it runs! For this app I'll face some lack of utility as I'm primarily running Windows games via Bootcamp.
