A guy was showing me an old iMac G3 recently - it was a pink or grape colour. On booting, the desktop showed a wallpaper with bubbles (I think?) on it. The wallpaper was the exact same colour as the iMac's enclosure. He said this was one of the clever features of these G3s, that the wallpaper always matched the enclosure.

Where can I download this wallpaper in Strawberry, Grape, Lime, Tangerine, Indigo or other Apple-released retro iMac colours?

I've spent a couple of hours searching in vain online. Can anyone help...?

Edit: Apols for double-post elsewhere in forum.

If I remember correctly, those are default system desktops for OS 8 or 9. There was a thing called "themes" ( I think) where you could choose the system color scheme. Purple Macs were shipped defaulted with the grape theme, blue with the blue theme etc.

edit: OS 9 themes here

I have the "Change picture every 5 minutes" option enabled because my wallpaper folder has 257 items in it, so I can't just choose one. This is what I have displayed as of right now.

edit: forgot , I've got 8.5 installed on an old 3400c. I'll see what I can dig up.

edit 2x: They will be 800 x 600 though

Thanks for responding. I'll be interested to see what you turn up, even if they are small images. Any info that helps in the hunt is appreciated!
