This is the one day of the year I enjoy being single. It's also: my grandmother's (paternal), great-aunt's (her older sister by a year), uncle's, and aunt's (also separated by a year) birthday today. Plus, tomorrow is my mother's. In the space of 5 days, there are 6 b-days in my family. What a busy week.

That will make you run out of money without having to buy something for Valentines day.

I stayed the whole evening in my schools library learning Cocoa :apple:
To be honest i felt some envy to others who were with girls

Kudos to the thread starter!

Honestly I've always been single every valentines day! Doesn't bother me one bit, heh.

Tsk tsk to the people, especially the fella's that look at this day as an obligation! Y'know, the ones that say "Ahh f**k I gotta get my girl something today." Shame, haha.

IMO, we need days like these to remind us about the ones we consider special. It's another chance to out-do last years valentines, haha.

One day I'm going to do this xD Muahaha, Shh if your thinking what I think you're thinking, originality died the day it was created! And besides it's one of those things you can completely copy, but it's so damn cute you just can't help but smile/laugh.

i love that movie.

yes hump day is because its the hump of the week but a local radio station also tagged it "durex hump day" for a marketing ploy lol and as for the other holidays.... i hate those to i think their pointless. yes i give gifts on xmas and i do kind of participate in easter. but this holiday is just horrible lol when i was at work i brought in 'my boody valentine' by good charlotte and we played that a bunch of times and then heavy metal. but now its over! w00t!

I would think that it is celebrated throughout most of the world, since I think that St. Valentine is a Catholic Saint, and there are large groups of catholics in most countries. but it probably hasn't been twisted as much in other countries.

that's why in most of central europe it has been unknown untill after WW2 when the custom came here with american/british soldiers and was of course pushed by chocolate and flower producing industry

it is actually more of an thing fro menglish speaking countries in origin ... the dating back on Valentin of Terni is actually just a legend where it's not sure where it's from
