Ah yes, Valentine's Day. Or rather Commercialtine's Day.

I don't believe in the whole commercialization of V-Day. It basically is saying, be nice to your loved one for one day because we tell you to. Doesn't really make it special. So the GF and I are just making some dinner.

I might cave and buy flowers if they are reasonably priced...

My bf think in the same way... precisely, he hates all holidays at all. yesterday we didn't mention any special day - it's a habit to celebrate nothing. He explains that every day must be special, but I really do not understand it. It's not possible to have holidays every day. Who will work then? Besides, birthday - it's pleasure to receive something special from the person from who you wait most of all!!! And when you receive nothing EVERY holiday, it's really very pity. So I think it's nice to do some-thing special for person you love to avoid any routine in relationships! it's not necessary to buy something (send message through radio, cook some-thing tasty, walk where you have never been...) and it's not necessary to do it per standard holiday - you can create your own one and you can do it when ever you want! One birthday his favorite song, that he couldn't find, called him early... He was really happy... I adore making presents, maybe more then receive it. To be happy, I think, we should make some-thing new and interesting to live fully life.

Happy Single's Appreciation Day!

As opposed to a Hallmark created, totally artificial day.
