happy verizon customer but longing for a better phone, should i make the jump?

I was in your shoes...happy VZW customer, crappy phone, excellent service, owned an iPod Touch, no wifi at work, hesitant to switch to ATT, etc...

I bought an iPhone 3GS on launch day and have had zero regrets. No problems with ATT 3G coverage (greater Hartford, CT). Love the phone...already in the short time since I got it I wonder how I got by without a constant connection wherever I am!

Do it, and never look back. I did it this afternoon actually, coming from Verizon. I wanted to take the jump last year after my mom bought a 3G, but I was too hesitant to lose the security of Verizon's network, and thought I could settle with a Voyager (waste of time btw). I've actually been creeping on this forum for months now, getting all the info I could, and I had thought possibly an announcement would come in february, then had to keep hoping for June.....I forgot about Verizon an hour after I opened my new white 3GS

I'm also thinking about this. My Verizon contract ends 11/20/09, do you guys know how much I will be paying for ETF? For the people who said they only had to pay small amount and not the $175.
