Hard Case for new MBP. Gd idea or bad?

OK you guys who are ripping me for the shoe analogy...How about the people who put a "bra" on the front of their car?

Turn all the settings to low in a video game so their fans don’t turn on. :/

OK you guys who are ripping me for the shoe analogy...How about the people who put a "bra" on the front of their car? Its the same thing, and a car costs MUCH more than a MBP so there goes that point. As was stated above its extremely ironic to put a case on a MBP. If you do not care about how your laptop looks, then why would you rather make it heavier by putting a huge case on it rather than getting a few scratches? (which probably wouldn't even happen unless you're extremely careless. If you don't care about the design and how it looks, save yourself the money and let it get a few scratches since it won't matter to you, right?

But the front of a car is always outside where birds can poo on it, stones can hit it on the freeway, it gets rained on, etc..

putting a bra on a car is still completely reasonable .

Your statements are contradictory.

People that use the hard case, do so to protect it, cause they care about it and how it will still look good several years down the road when it is time to sell. While those that use a neoprene case, still scratch the hell out of it everytime it is placed on a hard surface.

Save yourself the money on a neoprene case and just let the bottom get all scratched up, since a few scratches won't matter to you, right?
