The HD doesn't sound healthy, it sounds the same as it did in my computer after it crashed. It makes a spinning sound and then sounds like the cd drive when you put in a cd it can read, kind of a shifting back and forth sound and then goes quiet...

The only thing I've heard is people complain because they think their computer gets too hot. There is no overheating issue whatsoever with the i5 or i7.

They do get warm, but what computer doesn't?
ThinkPad T series and W series run much cooler than my Macs. Just a fact.

I have all three models configured the same. All with core i7 | 8GB | SSD's.

The W (workstation) class ThinkPad, gets pushed hard, really loaded for hours. The fans and large vents in the sides of the case allow it plenty of air flow, it gets warm, but not hot as my Macs.

Yes I know, they are radiating the heat away via the Aluminum and the slot in the back, but still...

I do wish Apple would have done a better job with thermal management. I know, they're fine running hot, but it's needless. All in the name of vanity and style.

Seems like an odd set of priorities. Apple loves to brag so much, you'd think they would have made it run cool so they could brag about that as well.

Or as they say in iPadLand... "It's Magical & Revolutionary" :D
