Hard drive space

Hi all hope your probably a very basic problem but looking for some assistance I only use my macbook for music but I’m down to my last 70G left, I have big sound files which I like to keep on my Mac but would it best to move all my logic files to a ssd and them keep saving my music Projects to the external side.

Move completed projects to an external drive.

Keep apps, supporting files, and your "work in progress" on the internal drive.
