Hard going from Samsung Screen rMBP to LG

Yeaaa no.

I bought a base model 15" rMBP which has an LG screen, no IR issues or anything. Perfect.

I returned it only to get a BTO machine with 16GB Ram and it has a Samsung screen.

The LG was so much crisper, sharpens and more vibrant and better contrast. I've been disappointed with the Samsung screen compared to the LG.

There are two things to consider here, professionals that color calibrate the screens will only notice a difference in sharpness at best & IR. The LG Screens have a more natural color and the samsung screens do not, but are more "vibrant" at default (apple has the default profile catered to LG as most are shipped with that).

As for which is better, it's preference. Some people like vibrant even if it's not "right".
