Wow, that company used to care about computers, now it seems like Mac is an absolute afterthought...
A "hobby" to put it in Cook terms.

I really agree with this. I have read other posts saying "give them some time so it is done right", really, is 3 years enough? How about the poor people that purchased the Mac Pro? It was behind the times when it was released. Apple continues to get bigger all of the time but seems to not have enough resources to take care of the Mac product line. But what do I know, I'm only a user.

Message to Jony Ive: what matters to people is not the thickness of the laptops or phones, it is the weight.

make it less heavy, not thinner, idiot.

I agree, expect for the idiot part.
What really matters is the weight of a product, but making it too thin, especially if it is a phone, doesn't help to hold it.
They ought to find some new materials to make the product lighter, yet strong.
I'm not completely unsatisfied by their product and they put some brilliant engineering in them, think about the terraced battery to optimise the space within the laptop.
They shouldn't sacrifice user experience for the sake of aesthetic. We need more battery life in the iPhone, more room for ports on the Mac and a product 1mm thicker wouldn't be worst, in fact the iPhone wouldn't have that ugly protruding camera on the back. Even the iMac is uselessly thin. You can't expand the product anymore but is thinner, wow!

So you're saying Apple should delay the release of the next iPhone so they can spend more time on their hobby?
YES!!! That is EXACTLY what they should do!

The phones are at an A1 standard, they really don't need to improve iPhone at all for a couple of years (it will still remain a competitive product); unlike their Macs, which absolutely NEED the upgrades to stay competitive.

Apple should focus their main energies on their "hobby" Macs.
