I type much faster and much more legibly than I hand write.

I don't think I even remember how to hand write anymore. But I'm not arguing for hand writing anyway.

I remember way back in the day when people said the iPhone would flop because it didn't have a physical keyboard. But here many of us are, blazing away as quickly as we ever could on phone-sized hardware keyboards.

Never underestimate the power of technology to change perception.

A laptop is a superior note taking device for the vast majority of people.

For now.

Not to mention, you can do much better content creation on a laptop than any kind of tablet.

For now.

Someday we'll see laptop computers in museums and we'll all laugh when our grandkids ask us what the heck those things are.

Except for the fact that right now, my laptop is sitting in my lap, while I'm lounging legs up on the couch. Both my hands are free, the weight of the laptop being supported by my legs.

A tablet would be uncomfortable in this scenario. And seriously, while the iPhone keyboard is fine for typing "yo, wat u dong ?", it's hardly something I would want to use to take notes for hours on end. Especially if I have to look down at the screen instead of looking right in front of me.

Not to mention I type faster with 2 hands, and unless genetics evolve to the point of permitting me to have 3 arms...
