So the guy falls in love with his phone because of the case. It's an iPhone I understand where he coming from. Get yourself a nice Samsung Galaxy S2 and you will find love inside any case :)

----------

I found a case that does it for me.;)

would love to pull those cheeks apart and sample

myself feel is the most important. I really need a grippy case or my hand hurts holding the phone. so silicone cases are about all that works. and I don't really like the ones that make my phone much larger. but the cheap silicone ones flop around after a bit and even some of the good ones do. Plus I don't want to ahve to use a lot of extra force on the power and home buttons. tried the otterbox impact but it made the phone a bit larger (could have lived with that) but also the buttons harder to operate and the phone was loose in it.

And you can tell us what that limit is?

From my experience, an incase slider and a screen protector is more than enough protection for daily use. It's enough to protect your phone from a realistic drop (neck & waist high) and wear.

What are the protection advantages of having an otterbox over a slider type case or any nicer designed case that are realistic to daily use. I mean, even otterbox case commercials are unrealistic. They have the person rock climbing to show the advantages of the case.

Again, to each and their own.

Funniest thing. You have to understand, that when this happened it was not only my first cellphone but my first smartphone. I had always been to poor before lol
So having my new iPhone was pretty novel and stuff. I ordered my first case off ebay and it was this really funky pattern that I hadn't seen anywhere before, and had the rubber paint coating on it for a nice texture, etc. When I got it, I LOVED it, like it was REEEEAL sharp lol however the rubber coating on it smelled like something out of this world, very strong odor lol
It faded over time. And I also grew quite accustomed to using my phone, and as is to be expected, nothing was particularly exciting anymore.

Then....it came time to order a new case as mine (the rubber coated one and others i had) were wearing out significantly. I ordered another of the same make, with the same rubber coating.
Soon as I had it, that SMELL of the brand new product totally brought me back to those first few weeks that I had the phone. Very weird lol I could remember clearly how novel everything seemed then, and that urge to pick up the phone and play around with it constantly haha. Sense of smell is such a strange thing....

I hope you like staring at blank screens, cuz that's my GSII battery experience.

Um...how to say this...ah...let's see...

It's a phone case. It's not great education, a cure for cancer, or even a sexy person. See, it's a phone case. A case for a phone.
Wow. Irony.

In your world, a cure for cancer would make you excited about your phone? That's disgusting.

Has a case ever made you excited about your phone?

While I personally would never get excited about a case...

If I change the question to a similar: "Has lingerie ever made you excited about your lady?" I could understand you line of thinking ;)

Tried a number of cases. My current case is squaretrade.
It transparent and looking at the phone you can't tell it's covered.

That's a cool looking case, if I needed one I'd probably get it
They're HUUUGE though! But they would be a good choice for people who want something a little better looking than an Otterbox that still has a lot of protection.

If you read the whole (short) post, you might have noticed that the above was not what I said. The implication was that it is understandable to be excited about a cure for cancer, and not understandable to be excited about a phone case.

Perhaps my unsuccessful attempt at irony rendered my post difficult to understand. It was intended to suggest that there are things worth getting excited about, and a phone case is not one of them.

Maybe you misunderstood because I was unclear, or maybe because message was lost in my feeble attempt at irony.

Sorry if you don't like irony...
