They kept falling, and when I asked for them to be adjusted they started making "crackling" noises. They discolored after about two months of use, they felt uncomfortable, and they also made exercise impossible, flying like bullets once the sides were wet with sweat almost to the point of becoming a secret weapon during sparring...
I agree that I might have been unlucky, but this is my experience with them.
What frames were they? I hate plastic frames for that reason.

How exactly does the whole "order prescription glasses online" thing work?? I mean, I've been wearing glasses for forty years, the optician has to measure your your head (length of arms over your ears, etc.), face (the distance between your pupils), make sure that the center of each lens is placed in the correct place in the frame, etc. How does a website do all this?

Received mine and I'm quite happy with the results. Time will tell, but I saved at least $300 on the lenses...

Almost a month since I got mine, I don't have a single complaint. They're simply perfect.

The website explains it, there are some measurements that you can apply to it. In addition you can take a selfie and "test" the glasses on you (although it's mainly for aesthetic evaluation)

I went for the "Academy Black," which was named appropriately enough, anyway.

Ahh, excellent.

I'm an academic researcher. I don't have too many teaching duties at the moment, but that ought to be changing in the near future.

Nice!
I also found out that you don't need to re-do your prescription again next year, unless you want to. You can use the same one forever (although I would advise to see the eye doctor at least every two years).

So you guys haven't noticed any difference in the quality of the lenses, like with the anti-glare coating or anything?

I guess I'll have to report back in a few months. But my experiences with other glasses have been quite varied. I've had some that lasted quite a while, and I've had others that degraded quite quickly. The best were from independent opticians; the worst were from big box stores like Lens Crafters.

Yes, I am a huge fan of small independent opticians, and less enamoured of the large stores for such things.

For those interested, the website @mobilehaathi and I bought from is having a 55% sale on all frames (which are already cheap) w an online coupon code.
Send me a PM if interested as I am not sure I can advertise the service.

Compared to my previous pair, the one I have now is much much much better but I admit that I was unlucky.
I don't see any substantial difference from a good pair bought at a store. I am just curious to see if they last (I had this pair for about a month) which is the real question now.

I received my Warby Parker eyeglasses today and very happy with them, seems like the prescription is correct..

Just wanted to share my recent Warby Parker customer service experience. I went into our local store to get a new pair of glasses because it's that time of year, annual RX check and insurance benefit use. While there I asked them to make a few adjustments to my older Warby Parker glasses as lately they have been sliding down my nose more than I would like. The in store technician made some adjustments to the frame and had to use the heat gun to do so. Well, it appears that while doing so she accidentally let the heat get to one edge of the right lens and there is now a blurry spot on the lens just at the edge of the frame. It's not in my regular field of vision, but in the right peripheral. I didn't even notice it really until later in the day after we had left the store.

So, the next day, I called the main Warby Parker line and explained to the national customer service rep who answered the phone what had happened. With no questions asked, she apologized for what had occurred and immediately processed a new replacement pair of glasses to be sent to me. Now, keep in mind, this is an older pair of glasses I purchased from Warby Parker over a year ago.

I must say I am blown away by the incredible customer service. Admittedly, I didn't see this happen, I can't prove that the worker did the damage, but that is the only possibly explanation I have as the blurry spot wasn't there previously and it is there now. It's not a scratch and it is not something on the lens that can be cleaned as we have repeatedly tried to do so. I fully expected to be told the glasses were out of warranty or to have to "prove" in some way that the damage did occur in the store. There was none of that. I am really impressed and will certainly continue to both purchase from them and recommend their products to others.

I ordered my last pair from Zenni. I think they were $18 total. I have no complaints with them and other than having a generic unbranded frame I can see no practical difference at all between them and my more expensive 'real' glasses.

So no problems with the glasses still? I've been thinking about ordering a backup pair at one of these places to test it out.

As the OP... I ordered the glasses in August 2016, now it's the end of March 2017.
My report after so many months is as follows: best pair of glasses I have ever had. I just love them to the point that I am thinking to order another pair even if I don't need it. Definitely among the best choices I've made in 2016.

No problems, still happy!

Same here!

Reviving an old thread just to update.
Today I received the second pair, from the very same company I ordered before.
They are simply perfect. Excellent service, and cheap ($146.00 for frame, lenses, and fast shipping). I am going to save a fortune.
