Ive had a 6 since Saturday after launch-Friday...and my original idea was the 6+ was just too big. But...after handling the 6+'s of my corworkers and friends...I am looking for a way to trade across for a 6+ without having to pay my 6 off. I am on the EDGE program.

I didn't do the switching back and forth but I heavily contemplated it. I got a launch day 6 plus and thanks to the tremendous scarcity of other 6 plusses at the time I ended up never trading it. The problem I had was one handed typing (I have super long fingers so I didn't think this would be a problem). What I found to help the most is just using dictation a lot more than I did previously. Thanks to a recent update the Fleksy keyboard now has a decent one handed mode that I now use in place of dictation and it works pretty great. It really just takes a solid couple weeks to fully acclimate to the size change but having had the device for months now I think of it as normal sized and anything smaller is toy-sized haha.

I bought a 6+ on release day and DD has the 6. A few weeks ago I was tired of the huge plus and wanted to try something smaller. DD wanted to try the 6+, so we swapped.

A week later, I switched back. The battery life just wasn't there and the camera is better on the plus.

you're lucky that your DD let you swap it. what if she decided she wants it too (lol).

in my case i went from a 6 to a 6+ then to a 6 again and decided i really want the 6+ as the 6 is not really an upgrade from a 5S. i still was undecided if i want to keep the 6+ but when my carrier let me unlock my phone, that's when i said to myself to just keep it. glad i did as i am loving the 6+ everyday i get to use it.

to anyone who is still undecided on what to get between the 6 and 6plus. do yourself a favor and try to use the plus for a longer period of time. trust me- it will get better each day you use it.

I am curious. Is it better than the iPad Air for surfing? I find even the Mini to be a bit cramp for surfing, so I can't imagine choosing a 6+ over my iPad Air at home. The 6 is even smaller, but at least I don't have to to deal with the size.

How do you carry it? I tried a cardboard version of the 6 and the 6+ and decided that I could not sit down comfortably with the 6+. That killed it for me because I don't think I can deal with the hassle of having to take the phone out of my pocket every time I get into my car.

I read a lot of posts about people getting used to it after a while. I can't imagine the above drawbacks changes. Correct me if I am wrong.

I don't find the 6+ as a replacement for the Air or even the Mini.

I wonder if Apple had made a iPhone 6 "Mid" with a 5.1" screen and a much smaller bezel if it would have been a better alternative?

I know myself that I think the iPhone could be greatly improved.

And while I don't want a brick of a phone, do feel that the ultra thin factor was a bad trade off instead of having smaller footprint.

I think for the iPhone 7 when they redesign it again they should trim the bezels, and make it a little thicker, stick a larger battery in and then won't have the camera lens sticking out.

Don't forget that humans come in all sizes and will react differently to a phone at a given size or a choice among two phone sizes.

This is so true, I think the 6 is small and the 6+ doesn't really feel that big like everyone said it would, even coming from a 5s. But then again I'm 6 foot 4 inches tall with big hands and pockets. My friend thinks my phone is ridiculous, but then again he is shorter and can't fit it in his pockets. It's really great we get a choice!

My wife wanted a 6+ from the moment she saw one. I had originally planned to get a 6 for myself, as I worried that the 6+ would be too big to carry in my pockets. When we finally went to the Apple store and I was able to try both of them, I knew I'd hate myself for getting the 6 and seeing her with the 6+, so we both ended up with 64GB 6+. I've had it for about 5 weeks now and no regrets. I've gotten used to the size, love the big screen and battery life, and I can use it one-handed for texting, web browsing, calling, etc. (I have pretty big hands, though). If I had gotten the 6, I know I would have been back in the store a week later exchanging it for a 6+.

Yeah. I sort of feel like I needed to try both in my world. Granted, I only had the Plus for 4 days, and the 6 for one day. But... It took me 4 days to doubt the Plus. It only took me 24 hours to start doubting the 6. So that's sort of telling me something about which I should be going with.

How do you that the first one you got was a honeymoon phase with the new iPhone 6 line that's why it took longer to return it...

So true. I had a wall of excitement about the 6 Plus before I even got it. That always takes a little time to chisel away.

Then, with the 6 I was immediately comparing it to the Plus in all the Plus's strongest areas (without considering the reasons I returned it in the first place).

After giving the 6 a little more time I did realize it was the right one. Though, it was a little warped out of the box, which didn't help matters. Luckily the Apple Store did the right thing and replaced it for me. Now I've got a pin straight 6 and I'm loving the size.

In regards to battery life, with similar workdays, same 8 hour period, I ended the day on the Plus with 50% battery left. With the 6, it was 42%. Of course there is no way the usage was identical, but my workday usage is pretty much the same day to day. Overall I'm happy with only an 8% loss. I can always plug and here and there at my desk, toggle off Bluetooth, etc to squeeze a little more juice out.

This is a great thread though with some good stories!

For some perspective, the 6 plus dimensions are virtually identical to that of the HP Business Calculator from a decade or so ago. Just slightly longer. I stuck the 6 Plus into the HP's case and it slid in fine, except for sticking out a little bit.

I got both the 6 and 6+ on launch day. After a week I returned the 6+ and kept the 6 due to its size. I had just come from an iPhone 5s so probably the transition was easier.

But over the past couple weeks I've been wanting a bigger screen size. Yesterday I was able to acquire the 6+ again and the phone now seems so much more manageable now (I have very small hands for a man). I believe that going from an iPhone 6 is an easier transition.

The only issues now are the fear of bending it ;) and how it looks in my front pockets. I have loose fitting jeans. I notice my left jeans pocket hides the iPhone 6+ bulge more than the right pocket, maybe due to the lack of the coin pocket, I dunno.

Pretty indecisive here myself. Got the 6 on launch day, sold it and a 6 plus a few weeks ago. While I love the screen and the camera, I always had to think about where to put it/how to carry it. Just went back to the 6 today lol.

Ordered the iPhone 6 on launch day and love it; however, one of my friends got the 6 Plus and after playing around on hers I got curious, so I ordered the 6 Plus for myself. I've been using it for two weeks now and have yet to switch back to my 6. I am torn though, and time is running out to make a decision (glad for the holiday extended returns policy)!

One thing I have noticed is that I am more likely to pick-up my 6 Plus to check email, look something up on the web, etc. than either my iPhone 6 or my iPad Air 2. But, I can't really say that the screen, camera, and battery life advantages are enough to go through the hassle of having to sell my iPhone 6, etc. That said, I have grown accustomed to that big, beautiful screen...tough decision! Think I need to switch back to the 6 for a few days for comparison!

I'm happy to report that I've now been on the 6 for about 5 days without very little desire to go Plus again. To help with the decision, I always remember to imagine in any particular situation I'm in if having the Plus would have been an benefit or a burden. In most cases its "burden", though in some its "benefit". The 6 definitely makes more sense for me.

There's enough difference between them to easily justify owning both for my workflow and personal preferences. As one who embraces variety and choices I can't imagine not owning both.

Out in the evening at a concert or other entertainment venue, I simply have no desire to carry a smartphone larger than either my Nexus 5 or iPhone 6.

Nor for that matter do I want to carry the tiny outdated iPhone 5S I kept as my daily workout companion. Each of these serve very distinct purposes for me.

The times I miss the 6 Plus the most are sitting around at home on the couch. For that though, I have iPads at home. I also miss the Plus when I'm out waiting somewhere, like a doctors office, when the big screen would be much appreciated for games, photo viewing or whatever else I'm doing.
