they said in the press conference that you can choose from their bumpers, or any other case from other vendors, im sure its gonna have to be equal or lesser value of a bumper, and the incase sliders should be equal or lesser value.

That was never said at all, for those about to spread this misinformation. We don't know at all what cases will be offered.

what if you ordered online and had to pay the $4 shipping, i wonder if that gets refunded, and plus there is tax...

For anyone getting a refund, what are you all planning to do with the $30+ store credit?

I am no longer considering getting a 2GB iPod shuffle at half price or another bumper.

I think I may just get $30 worth of iTunes gift cards and use it to buy games, movies, and TV shows for my iPhone 4.

What are your plans once you get your refund?

I might get an iTunes GC or the AV Cables for the tv

^ is it confirmed you will be only getting store credit?

i was thinking I would get my money back

Refund means just that. Starting late next week you will be able to initiate a refund for your bumper.

Had Apple not offered a full refund, I would have been ticked that whiners got something free that some of us already paid for. Reminds me of the fans complaining about Apple dropping the price of the 2G iPhone by $200 about 70 days after launch.

But Apple played fair to bumper owners.

"We're going to send you a free case. We can't make enough bumpers. No way we can make enough in the quarter. So we're going to source some cases and give you a choice."

They said they will start it late next week...

I love your guys' selective hearing

yaya

the main reason i was thinking they may have incase is because i noticed my local apple store carries tons of incase stuff

In case you weren't listening or reading correctly, they said SELECT cases from SELECT vendors.

Shipping is non-refundable since FedEx or the post office still had to deliver it. You can get your shipping fee from FedEx or the post office.

As far as tax goes, that wiould probably be refunded as well

Which is once again why I'm trying to decide if I should return my case, and take advantage of the free case from apple, or if I should take the refund and use that money to buy the case I want, and just eat the bumper as a loss.

It's a decent case, but I want better protection than it offers.

incase sliders are 34.99 retail which is higher than the $29 bumpers. those are just facts, i guess we can all make our own assumptions until they release the "select" cases
