I've been using Windows for 10 years, and for the past year I have been using OS X. Well, I bought an iBook a couple of months ago and I use it exclusively (almost) at home. Now I think I've actually gotten worse at using Windows, and Windows doesn't feel as comfortable to me as it used to! Anyone else have a similar experience?

Yes, I keep trying to use Expose in Windows and spending a second or two trying to figure out why my computer isn't working.

I've also been known as the 'resident computer tech' for the family. I have a win2k machine and a win 98 machine. Now that i have my mac i just get so upset with the hassle of fixing windows so it will work. everything I can do is a band-aid because of spyware and crap that downloads. I just get thankful for my mac and that i don't have to fix it, (My win2k box is pretty stable as I worked for like 4 days making it more secure adn stable but it still has issues on occasion, mind you nothing like my father-in-laws xp machine that one is a mess). I do find that I am quite liking expose and miss it when using windows. I mix up the paste and copy functions as well. I think I am still quite proficient in windows, I've just garnered more contempt for it's lack of programming integrety. I even recommend upgrading to a mac over upgrading windows (my wife's friend just got a state of the art 233mhz pentium with win98, she can't use her ipod (even though I did suggest a method) so I told her she had two options, buy a mac mini or get win2k on it (she's cheap so I'm going to go the win2k route for her)...

When I switch I can adapt right away....

Yes I keep trying to use expose on a windows machine at work.
My girlfirend keeps trying to enter a url with out the www. and the .com
(on Safari it predicts whther it's .com or .co.uk.)

expose thing happens to me a lot, when too many windows are open I try to use screen corners but nothing happens until I wait for a few seconds to realise that i am using windows lol :p

sometimes I have to think about what to do when I start moving the mouse on a PC, I would like freeze for a second, then go 'oh yeah' and start doing what I need to do.

I use macos and windows every day :D

Infact, right now i've got WoW running on my PC hooked upto a 17in LCD, and my powerbook next to it running Adium, Mail, iTunes and safari :D

Its perfect, great for a sneaky look at thottbot mid game too

I'm always trying to use things like Exposé and Dashboard... and then getting annoyed with how slow MS are at copying Apple :)

Expose!

The main thing is I think I'm always trying to use expose on XP ... lol.

That happens to me ALL the time... specially since I have a LOT of windows open at one time, on both the Mac and the PC.

Me too. I usually sit there looking dumbly at the screen and wondering why clicking the scroll wheel of the mouse isn't sending windows flying all over the place. Confuses me for a few seconds every time :)

I do the exact same think before I realize that I'm working on the wrong machine. Otherwise I'm doing pretty good with both OS'.

The most annoying difference (being the mod of my home network of 6 comps) is the difference in the wireless programs. I'm so used to clicking on my airport thing and selecting a network. With my families PCs (4 PCs, 2 Macs), everyone has a different wireless program so I have to relearn every time how to change setting on there PCs. Urrggg. :( Thank God my brother is getting a 15" PB for HS graduation. :D
