I just had a discussion this AM with someone about the TG-7 Pro Max smartwatch. Do not know who makes it but it claims to detect blood pressure and glucose for only $50.00. I went to their website where they make a lot of claims but no other info is avail. Just wondered if anyone has heard of this. I would love to have the AW detect BP and sugar.
Is this some kind of tech hoax.
Here is the website I found the info. https://techglobe.store/products/dt35-color-screen-smart-watch-bluetooth-call-sports-bracelet

Seems like some sort of hoax. It’s using an Apple watch like body and further down in the page, it even shows an Apple Watch ad with promotional images for the series 7, though it cuts to whatever this brands logo is at the end. That’s very weird, I probably would not buy that.

Yeah me too. I don't think any mainstream tech company has a decent solution for Blood Pressure and sugar monitoring. That is why I was interested.

Don’t believe them. If Apple could add BP and Glucose, they would have. They got to be lying for sure.

Just out of pure curiosity i ordered one.
Will let you’ll know how it compares to my aw7
Please do comeback and let us know, but there is no way it will have the ability to give real blood pressure rates and glucose readings for $50. They don’t explain how it works but mention their special software does it. You are brave to deal with these people, hope you get your money back, if not I would have the crEdit card people reverse it.

Let us know!

IF anyone is offering blood glucose monitoring in a device for $50 it is definitely a hoax. In any country in the world it would require regulatory approval and on the US that process would take several years of clinical studies and such. Just to cover the development cost you’re looking at a $1000+ device. There are invasive CGM devices available today that cost in that range plus ongoing supplies.

100% hoax

My bet is that it "monitors glucose" by pulling data from an existing CGM and charting the results.

I'll be really interested in hearing what it really does, though!

‘You could be on to it for sure. It could also use Bluetooth to get data from equipped blood pressure devices.

My friend is buying one. She is not tech at all but has diabetes and high BP and is hoping it will a cheap monitor for her. I am no very confident about it but can't wait to see what it will do.

The app has very bad reviews. The seller is "Shenzhen Wakeup Technology Co, LTD." And it looks like it tracks and sells your health data, which is linked to you.

I'd be careful with this one.

That’s classic scam product advertising tactics. Reminds me of the smart watches the Computer Clan channel on YouTube has covered in the scam busting series, these watches’ advertising uses Apple advertising images and the video ads straight up use an Apple Watch instead of the actual product you’re buying. And the price seems just about right to be one of these.

In fact, what they showed in the video looks exactly like an Apple Watch s7 running some kind of **** OS.

Update,
My friend finally got the watch. It is similar to an Apple Watch not as polished. Huge array of sensors on the back. It works with both android and iOS. She has an android. She was able to getting synced up by following. the directions. Problem was getting the phone sync was not enough. It wanted another blue tooth device in the watch syncs. It took an 1.5 hr of trial and error and we finally got it synced. Searching sysprefs would not help. At this point we do not know how the sugar or Bp sensor works.
I do not think it is worth it . As I learn more I will post if anybody is interested

Apple needs to shut this company down, complete Apple rip off and even using their imagery! Lol
I am going to email Tim Cook and shut this place down, shame on anyone who has purchased from this Chinese Rip off company

can you use apple watch case / covers on the watch and use apple watch bands ? lol but serious question ha. do you have any photos in comparison with the apple watch

A few us started a tech help group. We are trying to help her to get it to work, because we are interested in how it does sugar and BP monitoring. I will get some pictures and report what we find as we go along. I did find some YouTube videos about it the helped a little.

Week 2 update of the tg-7 pro max watch. She has working pretty well now. She set it back to factory specs and re downloaded the app. It is now running pretty well she says. A lot of trial an error and reading the help files in the app. It seem to have a lot on/off settings to peruse.
It is pumping out sugar and BP readings. They are set up with unfamiliar units probably metric. She is trying to find out how to set these units to match the normal units for sugar and BP, so she cam compare. I still do not know how they are getting these readings. Both BP and sugar would be phenomal to have as long as you can count on them being accurate. How can the sell in US if not FDA approved.

I got one as well, pure curiosity.
The blood pressure seems to me absolute fake, not even in my range within a big margin.
It looks that is just go thru the motion and always shows the same -standard- values.

How can they get away with this. People can put themselves in serious trouble beleving there BP and sugar readings on the watch. My friend who bought one is a type II diabetic. She bought for the glucose readings and the fact it was only $50. It pumps out readings in units she does not understand and can not compare with a finger stick. Did you find some place to change the units of BP and glucose to a more US standard reading?

In the US blood glucose is measured in mg/dl. In the rest of the world, it's mmol/L. Because, you know, metric. If they're using some other units, then all bets are off. (I'm betting, though, that it's as accurate as @Dobbel said the BP was.)

To convert —

mg/dl = mmol/L x 18.0182.
mmol/L = mg/dl x 0.0555
