Thats been possible for years
Yes, this rolled out in the Netherlands a couple of weeks ago. Annoying. I thought Apple was a 'no ads' company?
Doesn’t feel right at all though. Thanks for the replies.
Yes, i noticed this yesterday while downloading an app for my luddite mother
It has started rolling out all over the world now. I am not happy with this decision by Apple.
This has been like this since iOS 10 or 11 I remember. It mainly appears when you don’t type the full complete name of the app though.
At least its one ad, and the appstore isnt polluted with trackers & spying like some appstores out there.. *cough*Tutuapp*cough*
Information can be found here regarding these ads...
Apple has been showing ads in the App Store for over 2 years. For users, there are both good and bad points. On the good side, only developers willing to maintain and spend money on their apps will advertise, so it help users avoid abandoned apps. On the downside, they are ads. But they are clearly identified, so I am not bothered.
