I kinda viewed buying new in store as a good thing. IF Apple does announce a new iPhone at WWDC, at least I can go in store and return it rather than shipping it and such.

You have a good point, what I would do is jailbreak and unlock your iPhone 4 when the new iPhone comes out. Then you can list your iPhone on eBay for $500-$600 dollars. The chances are AT&T already will give you a early upgrade. That means a 16GB iPhone 5/4GS would be $399 or 32GB for $499. eBay only charges like $25-$40 dollars as a seller fee. I do this every year. I am also on a family plan with 4 lines so every 12 months/1 year I am eligible for a upgrade. I also recommend you get some kind of skin for your phone to prevent scratches. Some require liquid others don't. I ordered the Bodyguardz dry apply from eBay for $12 dollars. Lifetime warranty.
True, or I could just return it and get the 5 for the same price. I usually sell my 16GB at $500-$550, but that's because I never got a full upgrade before. Even though I'll get about $100 profit, I might just save the hassle and get it at the discounted price.
