I plan to change from the 6 to the 6 Plus, if I can find one in stock before my 14 days are up. If I am lucky enough to find one, I will be putting a protective case on it right away.

I'm in the same boat. I'd like to get the plus, but I'm not hopeful there will be any in stock before this Friday.

So what will you folks do then? Return the 6 and wait it out for the Plus?

Well you don't have to be without an Iphone after you return the 6. Just saying.

I ordered both the 6 and 6+. Tried the 6+ for a day, liked it - gave it to my wife (as it was ordered originally for her). Returned the 6 yesterday, went back to iPhone 5 while waiting for my 6+ to come mid October.

I exchanged my 6 for a 6 Plus.
Scored one at the Pasadena, CA store today.
Hoping I can get used to it, really feels massive lol

Many threads with the downgrade. Anyone else upgrading?

Yup. I did it twice.

I got a 6 at launch. I was worried that the 6+ would be too big. I realized after I had held both that the 6+ was what I really wanted. Exchanged the 6 for a 6+.

My son wanted a 6+ and we needed to upgrade another line to give our old phones to the grandparents (to keep their bill low), and I couldn't find another 6+ for my son and he wasn't able to locate one either, so I told him I'd go back to the 6 and gave him my 6+. I regretted it before 24 hours were up. I bought another 6+ as soon as I could find it (took me 3 days to locate another 6+ in my area) and I went back to 6+.

:)

My husband has a 6. He loves it. I prefer the 6+. The 6 is a nice phone, but once I'd used the 6+, I was hooked.

----------

I meant upgrade as in size. I don't typically sit with a phone in the front pocket so this risk is minimal for me.

Eh. Ignore all the bendgate whining. I have used a 6+ for almost 3 weeks total and I haven't bent EITHER of the 6+ phones I used. I am sure one COULD bend, but I don't treat my expensive electronics like crap, either. I paid cash for my 6+ and I don't intend to act like it's anything other than the 1k phone it is.

That's the thing with the upgrade subsidies. They fool people into thinking something cost them a couple hundred bucks or so, and they don't really grasp how much that device is worth. If a phone is costing you as much as a laptop, are you going to treat it poorly? Not if you paid for it.

Now, some people will just treat it rough and buy another if there's an issue and they'll never complain about it. They can afford it. I can afford to replace a unit that I accidentally damaged if it isn't covered by AppleCare+, but I can't afford to replace an iPhone every other month because I was rough with it. Besides, I like handing mine down to the kids and/or selling them to help fund my newer model each year. :D

Good luck finding a decent case. Ugh. The good case manufacturers need to step it up.

Well I didn't really return my 6, but I did want to upgrade to a 6+ after handling one and finding that it's not as unwieldy (to me) as many made it seem online.

My wife has the 6 now, and thinks I'm crazy for carrying around an iPad mini-mini. :)

I actually returned my 6 for a Plus. After 2 days, I regret it. Now I'm desperately trying to go back to the 6 but nothing in stock in NYC. sigh.

Guilty. When I was first pre-ordering, I had zero intention of even considering a 6 Plus. It just seemed too freaking big. I was happy with my 6 but then I saw the 6 Plus at the Apple Store and it slowly grew on me. Also I realized that since I need both my tiny hands to work the 6, might as well go all out and get the Plus. I was very lucky and was able to snag one a couple days ago, the exact configuration that I wanted (Verizon Silver 128gb). I'm very happy with it but I am also constantly paranoid that I will bend the phone.

I wish I could upgrade to the 6+... My area has absolutely no stock and I'm well out of my 14 day exchange/refund period :(

I had a 6 at first, exchanged for a 6+. The size took a little while to get used to but the superior display and battery life were appreciated immediately :)

Oh and according to CR's lab tests, the 6 takes less force to bend than the 6+...

Curious to know...why do you prefer the 6?

well I spent a weekend with the plus and I went out to bars, clubs, gym etc and I felt like I had a laptop in my pants. and I just couldnt stop worrying about the damn size so much, but the biggest annoyance so far is being unable to do most gestures one-handed. It's becoming a burden, especially when im laying in bed and just want to check out twitter or seomthing, its just not easy to take around.

so, im still trying to find the 6, but its impossible to find in nyc in silver att 64gb :/

A guy here at work got a 6 on launch day, but soon decided he wanted the 6 Plus. He spent a week visiting the Apple Store every morning trying to get one, and was finally successful. He was excited for about a day, decided the plus was too big, and went back to the 6.

Both an upgrade and a downgrade. It was silly.
