You can re-heat the corners, lift them up and reapply. Initially, I wasn't happy with a couple of my corners so I went back to fix a day later and got them perfect.

Awesome! Gotta try that today.

Hey Mojojosung, thanks for the answers. Can you actually fit your iPad (with smart cover on) inside the Xtrememac Pocket ? Is the pocket somewhat robust to protect the iPad corners etc ?

Yup. It fits perfect with smart cover on. There is very little room for the ipad to move around once inside. I wouldn't say it's the most robust sleeve. There is padding in both front and back, but front has more support than the back. I went with this one because it adds very little bulk. You can probably find more robust sleeves, but they'll add bulk in my opinion.

Nice ! Thanks for the added picture as well. I also found a brief written review somewhere where they said that there is also a small pocket in the front for charger cable, wallet etc. That's also a nice feature which not all have. I'm after something relatively minimalistic mainly for around the house, but to occassionally take outdoors with me in a backpack or similar. Haven't got a smart cover just yet, but was thinking about it. Now that I see this fits with the smart cover I may have found the ideal setup. Thanks again for the info. P.S Can you really fit a wallet in the front pocket ? Or isn't it that stretchy ?

Would also be interested how you got on with the re-sticking of the corners.

Has anybody got the new style skin from juststickit. I ordered mine a week ago and still have not got it. I ordered the Matte White full body skin

I also purchased a new design brushed titanium skin from Clinton back over a week ago. I know he was sick last week so maybe he got behind. I sent him an email last night, I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Got my new iPad 2 today, can't wait to get it skinned.

I figured thats why it would be late. Yeah I did the same yesterday night. Still waiting on a response from him. And if I here anything I'll let you know lol.

Smart cover with brushed titanium skin?

I have an email in to order the brushed titanium skin, which looks awesome in the pix posted. For anyone who has one, is the black leather smart cover the best choice? Do you think any of the poly smart covers would look OK? Not that the additional $$ is a huge problem (although I do think both poly and leather smart covers are overpriced), but I'm concerned about dye transfer from the leather. And I'd just as soon save the money if there isn't a good reason to spend it. If I'm going to spend that much, the Miniot covers look good, but not sure about a wood cover with the brushed titanium skin.

I actually don't have my iPad yet, but am attracted to the white version. Does anyone have a white iPad with the titanium skin? If so, can you post pictures?

Thanks,
Faye

Hey Faye,

I posted the pix above with titanium skin and black smart cover. My ipad 2 is also a white version. I'm not sure how I'd be able to take a picture that shows the white ipad and titanium skin. But it looks awesome in real life. The titanium skin has a rather dark shade to it, so it shows a nice contrast with the white front. As for the smart cover, I simply went with black because I wanted that black/white contrast between the smart cover and white front. I'm not sure how the titanium skin will go with brighter poly smart covers, but I can tell you for sure: you can never go wrong with black :)

Thanks, mojojosung,

Yeah, black goes with everything. I kind of like the bright colors on their own, but it just doesn't seem like they'd go the best with the titanium back. And I'll have this at work sometimes, so black would be a more "professional" look.

I haven't heard back from Clinton about my email order yet (emailed on the 14th), but I see he's really swamped. No huge rush for me, anyway, since I don't have the iPad yet. I'm about ready to pull the trigger on an online order since none of the local stores seem to get many.

Since the brushed titanium that I like so much isn't on the eBay store yet, I had emailed Clinton on 4/14 to place an order. I haven't received a response yet. It sounds like he's really busy, but I'm wondering if my email even got to him. Has anyone received any response to orders/inquiries recently?

Okay. I love supporting small businesses making products for Apple devices...

... and I want Apple users go get great service - especially MacRumors forum users..

... but... (and I don't want to sound harsh or like a d*ck)...

(at the risk of being flamed) this thread is totally ridiculous...

TOTALLY ridiculous.

EVERY time I visit this forum and read updates I am forced to wade through what are basically customer service inquiries/questions/complaints.

I there a reason 99% of the messages on here can't either be done over email or private message.

If users of the products are looking to exchange thoughts on the product or get recommendations -- totally appropriate. But it seems like 9 out of 10 of the last posts are all related to using the forum to update customers on shipping and product availability or (strangely) public request/announce the sending of public messages.

It seems to me this entire thread has become a public dialogue between a costumers and a vendor and would be much more appropriate on a vendor support forum as that is that this thread has become.

Am I crazy?!

Happy to feel like an a**hole if this forum is, in fact, the appropriate forum for a business person to publicly communicate with customers and market their product...

Calm down

Ok so I'm pretty sure Clinton has a perfectly good reason why everbodys skins have not arrived. I am aware that he has been very busy and has had some issues. But come on give the guy a break I'm pretty sure he's got a life to and has been swamped by orders give the guy a break. Ive spoke to him once and he's a really nice guy. If you got nothing nice to say don't say it at all.

This^^ Give it some time guys. He is one guy running it all probably getting tons of orders.

Got my brushed titanium back from Clinton today. It was my first time installing something like this, so had some trouble applying the corners. Ended up with a few wrinkles on bottom corners, but overall, easy install. If you have a little more patience than I do, you will be able to install it nice and clean without a problem. As mentioned in this thread, pictures don't do justice. The brushed titanium finish is gorgeous in real life, and it's a great pair with my black smart cover (smart cover magnets work perfectly). Cut outs line up perfectly with the iPad. It's relatively thin, but good enough to provide overall protection for the back.

Overall, very very satisfied. Clinton has a wonderful customer service, and I definitely recommend it to those looking for a nice back cover to be used with smart cover or other less bulky cases.

do you have a link for this one? this is what i'm looking for....

Titanium?

Howdy! I would love to have a Titanium before I leave for a conference on 5/13. How is shipping going?

I emailed Clinton on April 14th to order a titanium skin, and haven't gotten a response yet. I did say it wasn't any rush (Apple says my iPad delivery date is 5/7), so maybe he's dealing with other orders first.

Faye

Hoping I get my skin this week cause I'm getting my iPad 2 this week. The minute I get it I'll let you guys know and keep you updated in how the install is, how the smart cover works with it and if it's worth buying. I will also supply pics on here so be on the look out for that. If you want to know I got the Matte White skin. Can't wait to get it on my white 16GB iPad 2
