Has internet connection put you off getting a house?

Right now I am happy as a clam with Virgin's 20mbps where I am… but I'd swop it in a flash if I could find a place like you just described.

*sigh* A view of the Peak District is worth a few mbps.

I currently share Virgin 10mbps with a house of students and would 'downgrade' anyday to 2mbps for myself/partner to live in a cottage in the middle of the Peak District.....

Gah you all suck! I live in the most beautiful area in southeastern missouri about 60 miles from st louis. I have 30 acres of woods to hunt and ride ATVs on but I can only get dialup and even then not 56 kbps i get around 24 kbps. It's either that or insanely expensive satellite that is still only about twice as fast as my EDGE connection (150-200 kbps usually). Thank god for tethering, I use it as my main connection now.
