Over the past few days, MacRumors has been really slow for me, and I really don't know why. I'm not having any issues with other sites. I have a 16 MB connection, and it's taking 10-15 seconds for the front page to load. The forums are even worse. I've even had a few timeouts while trying to load a page in the forums.

Is this just me? Or is this happening to other people also?

I'm on Comcast BTW.

Sluggish on certain page loads lately. Sometimes I have to go elsewhere for a few minutes and refresh mt MR tabs again.

I've been hearing connectivity troubles in general from my other friends online. Maybe it's a problem higher up across providers.

I did notice that on my intels the page would take 5 seconds to start loading randomly though. I just thought it was the fact it is a hackintosh. But I do not know if I have the DNS servers added in yet. On my G4 I get 25 MS adv pings

For me it's both. I'm not having timeout issues anymore, but it's still painfully slow for me. It feels like I'm with AOL again, but only with MacRumors.

It's these blasted iPhone nuts.

Forums. Site is sluggish. On all 3 of my computers and also when using someone else's wifi.

Quite often lately (not always, but more often than not) the forums "hangs" on the new blank page, before it even starts loading, for quite a few seconds whenever I click a link.

Almost like there's an enormous lag in DNS lookup or something...

Here's a traceroute:

Those 6 stars on 10 and 11 took several seconds. And when I traceroute google.com it doesn't take that break in the middle...

Edit: I get this from home (MacBook), work (iMac) and when I was in England recently (iPhone).

Pinging:

DNS Servers:

web1.xeeno.com (macrumors.com) is the slowest to respond to pings.

LOL! type :ctrl: + C

Great. I knew it was something with C.

21 packets transmitted, 21 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 48.048/110.553/1163.569/236.692 ms

That normal?

All of the 21 are under 60ms except for one at 160ms, and that one at 1163ms

depends where you live...from australia i get a 225ms average ping. that 1163ms ping that you had probably had to wait a little bit because of traffic.
