Interesting, but not surprising, this is a 'drive by' thread where the OP doesn't have the courage to defend his position.

I UNDERSTAND that jailbreaking takes a long time. I UNDERSTAND that it's difficult work, and Apple likes to set up a lot of roadblocks to make it take even longer. But MuscleNerd has not offered a single hint that he is even working on it. Any time anyone asks him about it, he either ignores them or says something along the lines of "shut up." (Not literally, of course.) So why should we keep waiting and hoping, when all signs point to the fact that he has probably given up entirely?

Perhaps you should come out with the JB then.....

Perhaps you should come out with the JB then.....

How dare you? to tell the OP that...

His Job is to complaint and create useless and nonsense threads while not collaborating with anything to the community and he had been doing a great Job so far so move along please..

I plan on sending some funds as a sign of my appreciation to whomever comes out with the next jailbreak. Has anybody done this in the past or have any idea how I would go about doing it?These guys should be tipped for the service they provide us.

Here is what they post on their blog regarding donation;

http://blog.iphone-dev.org/post/41744653/donations-to-dev-null

"Donations to /dev/null

We’ve seen some comments about you lovely people wanting to donate money to us. We’d just like to say that we DO NOT accept donations. There is no paypal account associated to us, there is no way to donate to us, we do this as a hobby and don’t want to be paid and we fund all of this ourselves and it works out just fine.

Anyone who says “donate to DevTeam” in our name is lying, so don’t send them anything, you’ll just fund their crack habit.

Keep your dough for the lovely shiny Apple products, we think you’ll need it.

If you do want to send us something, please send a scan of a postcard from your city, handwrite a nice message scan it and sent it over to blog@iphone-dev.com

We prefer old fashioned courtesy over flashing animated location maps, we are simple like that. We’ll post the best ones on a page on the wiki.

Also if you are interested you can look at our favorite foods but again you can’t send us these!

/dev/null information here

First person to email us a scan of a postcard from their city will win a Kinder-Egg."

Huh?

Srry, iPhone typo. I say that's correct; positive news out because Musclenerd is cool, not because the dweebs bother him about it.;)

It should probably be pointed out that pod2g is not a member of the Dev-Team, nor is he any longer a member of Chronic-Dev.

Spot on correct as always.

Good to see you still active here :D

Those who do accept donations generally have a PayPal link on their blog page or jailbreak page.

It will be obvious. :p

And as stated, the DevTeam will not accept any cash donations.

Love the analogy !

Exceptionally appropriate !

Well, I'm encouraged that they're working on it.

The iPhone is the best thing going, whether or not it's jailbroken...but it's a little nicer when there's a good jailbreak.

:)

Also not surprising that you got downvoted, i am guessing thats the o.p's equivalent of defending himself, btw great analogy.

Glad I kept my my iphone 4. I would be going through withdraws if my phone couldn't be jailbroken. If jailbreaking is gone I'm going to android.

The big thing I miss without jail breaking is iBlacklist.

Haven't found a good way to replace that without jail breaking.
