Has your SR MBP shipped yet?

Shipping to Canada. I'm confident I'll get it way before June 14th. My iPod shipped yesterday and my expected delivery date is tomorrow.

My CC hasn't been charged for the MBP, and yours?

I ordered a MBP in March before hearing about the update and deciding to return it and wait. The shipping estimate was very similar (I have the same one that you do, with expedited shipping) and it arrived at the BEGINNING of the estimated period. Might depend on availability but that doesn't seem to be a problem for orders for the 'stock model' since none of the stores had issues.
 
FWIW, I also ordered the 17"/Hi-Res Glossy/160gb 7200 drive and it's down as shipping on 8th June and delivery next week. After reading about delays when selecting the faster hard drive I phoned Apple this morning and was assured (at least for the 17" machines) this will not cause a delay.

I also rang the Bluewater store (UK) and was told that they have no 17's in stock and don't know when they'll get them. He suggested ordering online would definitely be the fastest way to get a 17".

Guess it's a waiting game. Though in my experience Apple tends to overestimate the shipping times quoted on the online store, and items actually arrive (sometimes) much sooner. Fingers crossed! :D

Thanks, I feel better. I'm going out of town on the 17th, and I wanted to have the computer by then.
 
I got the 17" High Def with 7200 rpm HD, still hasn't shipped yet:

My ipod nano shipped yesterday though and is supposed to arrive today.
 
Well, my iPod is out for delivery right now.

How would I tell if my Credit Card has been charged yet? I haven't received an e-mail about that, nor do I see anything about that on the Apple Site...

By the way, the dates for my pre-configured 2.4ghz 15" MBP are...

this is gonna be one muthatruckin long wait.

i have to make a presentation on the 21st for my year in industry lol! so this will be interesting. normally when your not looking forward to something it comes round like nobodies bussiness

yet when your eagerly awaiting something its like waiting for christmas. it simply will not come.

4-6 Weeks delay on 160 GB 7,200 RPM Drives

I just went to order a new 17" SR MBP with a 160GB 72K drive on the US Apple Store and the estimated ship time blew out to 4-6 weeks! I guess the 5400 RPM will have to do...

One of the biggest reasons to move manufacturing to china is cheap labour and when you have cheap labour you can have a day and night shift.....

This is true. I guess my earlier theory just flew out the window. Either way I ordered a 17" with the 250GB drive. I value capacity over speed.

True..I hadn't thought about that. Of course I don't know if Fed-Ex would feel the same way about shipping things in the middle of the night...I sure hope so!

Either way, I figure there is still a chance for us to get our MBPs by Friday...they will just have to ship at some point today and arrive at a Fed-Ex air location pretty early on Thursday morning...That would give them plenty of time to transport the package to the local delivery location by Friday morning...hopefully that's what happens! It will be a long weekend, otherwise...

My 'available' balance at my bank has gone down but the money hasn't been taken yet.

The full amount shows up as a pending amount on my credit card, but the charge has not been comitted yet. I thought someone told me a while ago that Apple only charges when they ship the product.

Is this in the United States? How did you get that price?
 
Ship times really vary. I ordered a MB for a friend not to long ago on a Friday afternoon with standard shipping, and it arrived at her door Tuesday morning. A full week before its predicted arrive time.

Well, that's the point. My iPod was charged right away yesterday's morning but my CC doesn't show any pending amount yet for the MBP. I called Apple and they say that they don't see any problems with my order.

Damn 2500$ CC limit...should have asked for 3000$ to be sure.
 
I just got my iPod nano in the mail an hour ago, delivered from PA to NY. I placed the order yesterday at around 2pm with ground shipping.

I'm not sure when my 17" PowerBook (1080 matte screen, 7200rpm hard drive) is coming. When I placed the order it said 4 to 6 weeks, but the order status page says it will ship by Jun 6th to Jun 8th. I really hope it's the latter!
