ok guys so it seems that our MBPs that are base models 15" will be shipped from Fulton, CA and should be shipping out today at the latest.
Congratulations mate. Mine hasn't even shipped yet. Your lappy is going to be fine, when turned on it runs at way higher temperatures. 🙂
gibbz- Can i ask what computer you ordered? i ordered CTO 2.2ghz with 160gb 5400rpm hard drive. And also, mine is an education order. let's hope for the best!!

i bought it through UCLA (i live in los angeles). it's called giving the university a "proposal" (which you probably know) which was maybe not the best idea in terms of getting it as quickly as possible. it has not shipped yet, and it says ships "by jun 20".
yes, I called apple to get this information and they said that only the stock base models are at Fulton. If you have any customizations of any kind then the laptop with the custom components will be shipped from Shanghai.
all three of us purchased CTO education. i feel like that is the main cause for the delays and why our computers have not shipped yet.

Thought i'd let everyone know: Ordered my mbp 15" 2.2 200gb on the 11th, about 1pm pacific. It shipped out today, which was the last day of the apple estimated ship time. Yay!

it's good to hear that apple is shipping them out. it's a little frustrating that they ship the education purchases later, regardless of date purchased. i guess that's what we get for saving money.

Not necessarily true -- I ordered a 15" 2.4 with the 200Gb HD, and it shipped from Bloomington, CA today. (one week after ordering)

OK, let's tray to understand. It appears that most laptops ship from China and only a few from California-gna-gna. There seems to be no rules in regards to stock or CTO either. What about shipping? For those who got it from California, what kind of shipping did you select?

All the details I can think of:
glossy 15" 2.4 w/ 200Gb drive, all else standard.
Educationalfaculty/staff purchase shipped to a business address, shipping lists as "standard-business" requested. Tracking via Fedex Ground.
Ordered June 7 online. iWork is also being shipping from the same location. Parallels is still waiting to ship.
maybe there's something about software being in the same order? jeff, what is fedex's estimated delivery day for you?

Does apple change your deliveryday when the hard disk is available sooner? For a dell example, I had to wait till the estimated day and I even know, in this case, they had the battery 2 week earlier.

Received by Fedex Wednesday night, left CA Thurnsday noon, estimated delivery to Denver on Monday.
For what it's worth, the software has a different tracking #, despite shipping from the same place on the same day.

My macbook pro arived today (yesterday, it's night) in the netherlands to merge, and it didn't ship with tnt or UPS. instead my est. delivery date changed to 25-26 June, WTF this is crazy, going to call apple again as soon as they open.
