I've always thought about getting a 3D printer but I couldn't really find something useful to use it for that would justify spending the money. What do you guys use it for?

I often use it to do visible mending on old broken devices and casings for old devices

I’m really not sold on the idea of a folding phone. I still question their longevity, which is important to me as my phones are passed down to my wife & kids, so are often in use for years.

If this actually is the design, I’m even more convinced it’s not for me. I wouldn’t mind a clamshell design, much like the old Moto Razor. I’d still need to be convinced of its practicality though. I just don’t see the use case for this device. It’ll likely still be cheaper to buy a separate iPad mini & iPhone.

This. For a tablet size device, i’m usually wanting to write on it these days with the pencil. I’m not sure how well that will work with the fold.

Never mind the other associated folding display durability problems.

No different to anything if you look after your devices you won’t have any issues.

Never had any issue on any foldable I’ve had in 6 years

If one needed both a new iPhone and a new iPad, this folding device would be a game changer and $$$ saver. When I travel, I always take along my iPhone Pro, iPad Pro and MacBook Pro. A combo phone/tablet would save me money and space, and give me greater convenience when using device-specific apps; no longer having to juggle both the separate phone and tablet simultaneously. Configured the way I like, a new 11" iPad Pro would be $1700 and a new iPhone Pro would be $1500 for a total of $3200. If the new combo device costs $2500 I'd be saving $700 ... i.e. the cost of a new Apple Watch.

I'm not sure you can compare an 11" iPad Pro to what will essentially be (purportedly) an iPad mini though, I don't think this will be positioned as a money saving device as much as it will be a status symbol.
