After your status changed to Preparing for Shipment how long did it take for it to show on UPS website?
That's the funny thing, I'm OIP yet this UPS tracking thing has a shipment coming right to my city.
Could be a random persons package tbh but idk.
Oh I know. It's scary out there. I was in line on Friday and got one for me and one for my wife, so she could hand her 7 down to our daughter whose 6 got too slow with iOS 11. I only planned to sell it face to face to a local neighbor on NextDoor forum.
None of the others in my family or friends needed a new phone right now, and my daughter is already getting an unlimited ski pass for Xmas, and she got my $700 space black S1 Apple Watch early, so my wife said a new iPhone would be too much. I'll try to find her a used 6s or 7 instead.
A new 6s is $450. I have a 6s and love it. But iOS 11 made it a bit slow. 11.1 is much better though.
I would recommend you to check the refurbished section of the Apple Store app. You could get it very cheap, and certified refurbished is pretty much like new.
I think our phone is on the same shipment. Mine shows as being in Zhengzhou as well, but there was a plane leaving this morning to Anchorage so I think its just taking a little time for them to update. I've heard people on this thread saying they're taking time to update. There was a UPS plane leaving Anchorage to Louisville 3hrs after the plane from China arrived. I want to believe our phone is on that plane
Yes, I’ve been tracking UPS 81 all day...lol! Due into KSDF a bit after midnight EST. I hope to wake up to news it’s at my destination sort facility, but who knows, but UPS!
...and all of the sudden the money Apple had put on a hold on my bank account is back in there! What the hell Apple! I hope I wake up to some movement tomorrow and get out of this "Order In Progress" crap! I know they have been doing that with some other peoples money as well, but I just want my iPhone X sooooon!!!

Yeah mine hasn't been on hold since yesterday, and I haven't been charged either.
Same thing happened to me, money was pending, then it stopped pending and is back in my PayPal account. Grrrr. Apple chat assured me I was still “in progress” and hoping for a sooner delivery than the 17th. I guess we’ll see....and all of the sudden the money Apple had put on a hold on my bank account is back in there! What the hell Apple! So my original order was W451 - but Apple canceled the order once we spoke because I was not able to use IUP, considering their hiccup.. That said, they asked me to place a second order on 10/30 and they said they would bump it back to the stupid 11/17-11/24 boat. Subsequently my order is W499 - and it has been stuck in Order in Progress Hell.
It's just annoying considering how many IUP phones have gone out (and delivered) with all sort of order numbers and this one has had not even a PFS update. grr. I would have gotten one in a store, the nearest one is 150 miles (and all the local stores and carriers have had none). An Apple Executive Relations Representative has been trying to help me get one to no avail.. It's still early considering their estimate, but annoying and worse still when you see so many in the same boat delivered already. oh well..

I keep checking here, hoping my lady friend's order gets bumped up. Anyways, I don't think the order numbers mean much. My first three digits are 495 and I got release day delivery on my phone. My lady friend who ordered the exact same color and model as me, has 475 order number, and still shows 17-24 for delivery with no movement yet

Status changed to Preparing to ship yesterday (around noon Nov 6 PST).
Shipped Nov 7 (Asia time, I suppose) No info with UPS tracking number yet.
New delivery estimate - Nov 16.
Seriously - 9 days to ship with UPS?
I did not expect the shipping to take that long.

Paid in Full for T-Mo 256 SG at 12:23 (W525738XXX), my order is still reflecting as "In Progress", no Charge, No Bump in delivery date.

I would imagine that will happen soon. Order placed direct on Apple website paid in full on the 27th at 13 minutes after pre-orders launched.
Overnight my order status changed from the above preparing to ship to shipment is on the way way with email from Apple confirming this at 1:37 AM Central time. Delivery date stated as the 16th. 9 days to get to DFW??? I think they are sandbagging a bit. Good luck to all the 17-24s

So looks like my iPhone X will be delivered on Monday 13 by end of day. However, I'm going to Europe that day in the afternoon.

I know I should be happy though because my iPhone was supposed to be delivered by Nov 17- 24, but for some reason I’m just angry lol my delivery date is Monday Nov 13th. When my status changed to preparing for shipment yesterday I was think maybe I would receive it by Friday and be able to enjoy my new device over the weekend, but I guess that’s not gonna happen.
How accurate is that delivery date? Any chance it may change?

Sounds like that status is the same as "ready for UPS" which means it's still at the factory, not yet picked up by UPS. Still, you should be able to look up your tracking by reference to keep tabs on its progress.
As for getting it as quickly as you can - how close is your UPC Customer Centre to you? If they have morning hours, you may be able to pick it up on your way to work - or snag it on your way home after work if they receive the package mid-day on Friday. You'll need to change the delivery to have them hold it at the CC to do that.
