You think it’s possible that they are fixing issues with the phone in Korea? That sounds like a conspiracy theory.
Maybe it’s a software issue. What I am trying to say is it never took this long for an Apple product, once it’s shipped.

But what about the other shipments that left China this week, at the same time as yours, and are already in the US? Wouldn’t those be faulty too?

Apparently they are already being reported on. I didn't think it was that big of an issue till just tonight. According to the Internet tho info about it is there major news outlets, to Apple discussions stating on 11/4, to tech news, to YouTube and there’s even an some Korean news articles from a few hours ago. I had no idea...but I’m sure Apple is on it—they always are. Obviously not everyone have any problems with their phones— people are as happy as ever with the X. Including my bestie who ordered hers the morning after launch from att directly. She got hers a week ago and loves it.

Agreed. So true!

My phone got into Kentucky from Shanghai early this morning but looking on FlightAware I don't see any outbound flights to PHX in the next couple days so it will be interesting to see what route it takes and if the 16th estimate will hold up.

UPDATE: left Incheon, Korea the 13th, 2:58 pm, moved delivery date from 15th to 16th per UPS tracking. Anyone else traveling with my X?

..[snip]...Sorry... I'm getting crankier by the minute. We are those die-hard customers who order year after year what do they expect. Yea I know it's not the 17-24th yet but still, this is totally wack. PLUS, people are just walking in and getting them. So much for staying up for a preorder next time. I've preordered it every time, never been like this. Ahhh...got that off my chest thanks jeffm5690. LOL!
[doublepost=1510534772][/doublepost]Hey thanks ....how r u loving it btw?

I'm liking it - you can see my other posts in the battery life threads and one that's discussing the landscape mode missing vs the Plus. i don't think you'll regret it.

I do miss the rotating home screen but I understand they'd have to hide the text labels if we rotated the narrower screen to landscape on the home screen. And I miss the 2-column mode in settings, mail, notes, and others. But it's not a deal breaker.

And widescreen movies work pretty well with it, especially if I do the "3-finger tap and slide to zoom" to fill up the usable screen with a movie without encroaching on the notch. And using the usual "double tap on the movie to expand it" actually results in less lost edges with widescreen movies than expanding the movie with my 7+. When watching actual 16:9 TV shows is where the Plus model's screen aspect ratio shines more, but it can't replicate the deep blacks of the X screen.

After sitting in Korea since 11/10, this morning the status changed to...
Incheon, Korea, Republic of 11/13/2017 6:50 P.M. Departure Scan

Maybe this flight?
https://flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS53/history/20171113/0918Z/RKSI/PANC

UPS53 Departure: Mon 06:00PM KST Arrival: 07:46AM AKST Mon

Scheduled to arrive in Anchorage 5 minutes early, this morning.

:^)

Arrival estimate originally was 11/17, jumped to 11/14 when shipped, went to 11/15 while in Incheon, is now 11/16. So although it was frustrating to see the movement of my iPhone stall out in Korea, it's still on track to be a day early than the earliest promised delivery when I hit the order submit button.

Anyone else have a tracking similar to this? Seems as though I've been in transit for well over a day.

So my iPhone has finally arrived in my town. I had called before to have it held at my UPS CC. Current status is “arrival scan” am I supposed to wait for it to change to ready for pick up? Or am I good now?

Apple says delivery is 11/21 delayed, but UPS says be end of day on 11/16, finally an export scan from Shangai. Any one else noticing this? I am so tired of waiting for this to arrive and I fly out of town 11/18 a.m.

I think our phones are in the same shipment. My export scan was at 1:43 P.M. in Shanghai. I was just checking Flightaware to see if there is any action out of Shanghai but I don't see any.

IMO, Apple should investigate why so many pre-ordered phones are being help up in shipping while the exact same phone we pre-ordered has been available all over the state (at least for me in CT) during the last week.

Exactly. And my phone seemed to have to pass through customs twice - once in Zengzhou and again in Incheon. Anybody know the reason for this? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I would think Incheon is just a UPS hub and a simple change of planes.

After 5 days in Incheon, I have finally left!

Same here, after 4 long days in Incheon finally got a departure scan.

Incheon, Korea, Republic of 11/13/2017 18:50 Departure Scan

I have never been so disgusted in Apple. The way they have went about this launch and the pre-orders is crazy. I will never stay up til 3a.m. to order again.

Mine updated with a departure scan from Incheon (6:50pm). My delivery date has now moved back to the 16th, marked tentative. Lovely. This is the slowest shipping I have ever experienced for anything like this.

Why did I get up at 3am on the 27th?! It is pretty lousy customer service that people who preordered within the first 15 minutes are waiting weeks after launch while many have been just walking into retail outlets and picking one up without too much difficulty. They should not have been restocking stores before filling the first preorders.

I would have gone to a store, but I have a disability and all of the area stores are extremely inaccessible.

I’m a little disappointed.

Order was posted 12 minutes after midnight after fighting server failures.

Friends of mine, with orders posted well after me and with ETAs after my delivery have _all_ already received there phone. That’s what has got me aching; I can wait but what the hell happened with that? Don’t even have a delivery date anymore... And of course Apple manages to ship mine into this abyss the night before my local stores were replenished. Bah.

My phone is currently on its last leg so it’s all the more frustrating at this point.
