I have two pre-approved space grey iphones (64,256) coming Monday (according to UPS, Apple says Wed.) 17-24 then changed to 16-24 a day or two ago.
My third phone, a silver ATT 64 upgrade new to IUP is still 17-24.
App wasn’t up until about 3:10 for me (EST) and obviously, the 3rd phone order was later and required more clicks and typing to complete, so I’m not surprised that is later. I’m also not surprised that wasn’t bumped, but I’m also expecting it will be in the next wave or so, so will still be following this thread for movement.

I was also in ‘line’ for ATT and that failed miserably - in part when I accidentally shut down the window, but even when I was in, it shut down. The apple process isn’t perfect, but it was better for me than ATT and I also agree they have more control over fulfilling orders than ATT. I’m happy with where I am especially given the shortage projections - I was expecting Christmas.

Order numbers seem to be random. My iup 64gb placed at 12:05-12:10 has seen no movement. Order number W466....

I am an analyst in the travel industry and our reservation numbers are the same way. They are kind of sequential but also randomized to a degree. You will see similar numbers on similar days but there is no way to tell by looking with certainty who booked first.

Space grey 64GB, Verizon, ordered in full around 3:10AM (EST). I originally had the reservation page, then eventually got a call from Apple in Texas to confirm my identity before. No movement on my shipping date of Nov 17-24. A little disappointed in that especially since this is my first iOS device but oh well

UPS typically does not deliver on Saturdays

Wrong. It does... a simple check on the UPS site will confirm.

As others have said we do not have enough evidence to prove this. Agreed it seems that way, but if we were to all come back in two weeks and compare notes again, we would have the total picture and could line up our order times and I’m guessing we would draw totally different conclusions.

Possibly. Based on this thread. The numbers speak for themselves. IUP is getting much more change then the rest of method of payments.

Nope, there are folks that paid in full that have gotten bumped. I know because I’m one that PIF that’s still waiting and am jealous of those that PIF and got bumped!

While true. Very very few. I have also been keeping an eye on this as well as I am a Paid in full.

No need to be rude. Chill out. We will all get our phones.

Read the comment in context. The guy said "not true" in absoluteness.. I and I feel I properly responded. Especially since the verbiage has been said over and over.

PS - You should not be rude, by telling others they are rude when all was well. We even had a few more healthy exchanges after that.

Try to contribute.

Not just AT&T customers, AT&T in general as I bought mine outright and nothing! Maybe thats why Apple gave me free AirPods, because they know I am AT&T and will not see improvement. Hmmm...conspiracy theory!

:apple:

Pretty much in the same boat as you. AT&T, bought outright, no change in delivery, no charge on my account.

My theory is that the people who are being moved up were in the 17th slot. Those of us who weren't bumped up are in the '24th' slot.

Got a new message on UPS tracking.

For those pissed at IUP people just remember that next year if there is only one release for all iPhones and it’s in September like usual those of us getting our phones “early” here won’t be eligible for another month after release whereas the rest of you guys will be able to preorder as soon as it goes live. So we’ll be singing a different tune in a year if this happens.

Guys guess what? It's not fair - and I doubt it's 'priority' but even if it was, IUP users tie into a contract with a MUCH higher rate of upgrade annually AND forces folks to have apple care + (1:1) so.. YEAH.. those customers are more valuable to Apple than PIF folks.

It's economics and the reality of the situation. Life isn't fair. Deal with it. PLUS - it's just a phone. Who seriously cares that much?

That's not true. You can upgrade anytime after 6 months if you pay the difference.

UPS only delivers on Saturdays when:
a) Saturday deliveries are supported in your area
b) The service the shipper has selected supports Saturday deliveries.

Only time we see UPS actually give the option to deliver on a Saturday for an Apple launch is when they miss their Friday commitment.
Those people that Friday doesn't work for should get their X held at their local UPS CC.
