so ordering through ATT next time.

12:20pst confirmation. 17-24, Next, no CC charge or bump.
Funny, in the AT&T thread last year there were many lamenting the fact they ordered from AT&T and vowed never to do it again (me included!)

In all honestly don’t you feel that Apple has a likelihood of having better availability for themselves than for the carriers? If production squeezes out a few thousand more phones than anticipated, and the carrier allocation has already been fulfilled, wouldn’t you think Apple keeps them for themselves? :p

17-24 got bumped to 16.... then moved to the 8th

UPS said the 6th earlier, but is now saying

"The package is awaiting clearing agency review. / The package is at the clearing agency awaiting final release."

Not sure if this is good news or bad...
That'll be Chinese export customs. Appears they decided not to be a hurdle for the big shipments, but we can expect their inspections on those to follow.

My friend who put his order in about 20 minutes after me got a shipping notification for the 8th and I’m still stuck in late November, about to just spend the money on something else.

No update yet...

NEW IUP user who was bumped from DEC to Nov 17th....

Still no charge or status change

Mine is still holding at 11/13-11/15 with no charge or movement. I did call Apple to confirm all the carrier crap had been resolved and it looks like it has. It bounced around all over the place yesterday from OiP for 11/3 to PFS for 11/13 and then back to OiP for 11/13. I get antsy when it does that because earlier this week that indicated issues had arisen.

Eternally hopeful...

One of the orders I placed had a delivery date of 11/3, but then something happened behind the scenes between Verizon and Apple that my date got pushed out to 11/15-11/17. Had an OiP with 11/3, then a PFS with 11/3, then back to OiP with 11/15-11/17. Not too happy about it, but fingers are crossed this order sees a better date. It just sucks because I'm the one who has to wait another 2 weeks for a problem between Verizon and Apple (just a FYI everything was setup prior to preorder and I had my account paid off and upgrade eligible)

Ordered my 256GB iPhone X in Silver at 3:06a EDT and still shows Nov 17th - Nov 24th. :(

Edited: I paid in full
No worries- same here... it appears Apple is only bumping up people who didn't pay in full. Strange, but true. (At least out of the 17-24 batch).

AT&T Next customers in this window should now start seeing their cards charged.

Perhaps, later in the day we will see the movement for Nov 8th? (If I am to be optimistic)

that’s what i figured. i didn’t have an issue with my 7+ last year when i ordered with ATT. I got it two days after launch but this time I was prepared for that launch day and figured Apple would be best.

Apparently not.

That does not been it is proper. I pay full price and add AppleCare+. They get their money now. The guy that is paying monthly might expire tomorrow, good luck getting the balance.

Apple gets paid either way. Citizens one needs to collect as they technically purchase the phone from Apple. They need to recover the device once non payment is made. Apple may help by blacklisting the device from further activation.

They’re getting the money from Citizens One. Citizens one is collecting the installments and will handle delinquent monthly payments, not Apple. Granted they’re getting something out of the arrangement but Apple’s getting at least some of the full payment. I can’t imagine any other way.

For those pissed at IUP people just remember that next year if there is only one release for all iPhones and it’s in September like usual those of us getting our phones “early” here won’t be eligible for another month after release whereas the rest of you guys will be able to preorder as soon as it goes live. So we’ll be singing a different tune in a year if this happens.

I do not see how this is true? We are already a month behind, actually, now two months behind...so those on carrier financing programs will have to pay two extra payments to upgrade next year, if in fact it goes back to a September launch. I will be able to upgrade whenever I would like since I bought outright, but royally screws over people on carrier plans.

Update: Just received my AirPods from FedEx, already enjoying them!

:apple:

Ordered 2 phones with AT&T through Apple store app on phone. Space Gray, 256, paid full, confirmation at 12:11 PST, no movement, no charge. Second phone, Silver, 64 gig, Next program, confirmation at 12:18 PST, no movement, no charge.

I feel everyone's pain here... I started my ordering process at 2:00am central time on the 27th. Used the Apple store app on my iPad and kept getting "error" messages. Finally got my order through at 2:45am and my wife's order through at 2:55am. Both with AT&T next. We both have a delivery date of December 5th - 11th. There has been no change in my delivery date at all. I even called Apple with no luck. They said "we don't change delivery dates" "Your order will be there between Dec 5th and the 11th" I was like "thanks, Thanks for nothing, I can read!"

So if you're getting your phone before December just count yourself lucky and it could be worse. I haven't even seen anyone's delivery date as far out as mine. I could probably order today and get the same date.

FYI: Mine Space Gray 64gb. Wife's Silver 64gb.

Go ahead and sing

Anyway, my IUP silver att 256gb is still at “Order In progress” with a date of 11/16-11/24

So please stop griping about IUPs getting all the bumps.

no charge yet :-(

As with many of these things, I believe it won't happen all at once. Maybe throughout the day. I could be getting ahead of myself and making an assumption. However, many Next customers over the last few hours seem to have received a charge.

what makes you think that?

My card was charged a couple hours ago, as well as other cases in the AT&T Next 11/17-11/24 window.

I've been lurking in this thread since the beginning. Skimming sometimes through all of the posts. Is it fair to say that the chances of getting delivery date bumped up would rank as follows?:

1. IUP
2. ATT Next
3. Paid in Full

I got a message from Apple saying my silver 256 was shipping, due to arrive by the 8th. Then got a text from UPS saying it was due to deliver by the end of the day Monday the 6th. Now it says scheduled delivery day not available. Package is awaiting agency clearance - assume this is customs.
